During the 2016 Rio Olympics, Estudio Guto Requena was tasked with creating a pavilion for a beer brand and the result could not have been less incredible! This is the architect's work, which always combines high technology with modern design. , one cannot expect anything less than something truly surprising.
The Dance Pavilion, located in the Barra Olympic Park, received a metal structure, composed of a mix of colors. Inside, a gigantic surface of mirrors, around 500, which gave the visitor the impression of being inside a large globe. from a nightclub.
But the highlight is the interactivity of the large building. Sensors detect the beat of the music and the dance movements of the people inside and activate the mirrors of the metal structure, which begin to open and close, giving the impression that the pavilion is dancing too.
"To create this design and technology experience, we wanted to provoke visitors to the biggest sporting event on the planet. We wanted to take them from a common place, to stimulate the athlete in all of us and bring them to a state of of dreams, joy and escapism", explains the professional.
Whether in sunlight or at night, the Pavilion exalted colors, lights and rhythm and enchanted all visitors to the Olympic Park in Barra.
