CASACOR Minas Gerais has been increasingly increasing the number of professionals participating from the interior of the state – this is the edition with the
largest number of representatives from other cities , in addition to the capital. Among the 47 projects in this edition, there are offices from cities such as Bom Despacho, Carangola, Divinopolis, Itaúna, Governador Valadares, Mariana, Morada Nova, Muriaé and Pará de Minas. "The participation of professionals from different regions of the state contributes to the generation of opportunities, in addition to
presenting new concepts and bringing oxygen to the market. CASACOR Minas' proposal is to portray in a fair and faithful way what our state has been producing in this segment and , therefore, we consider it important
to encourage this dialogue with professionals from other cities ”, encourages
Eduardo Faleiro , content and relationship director at CASACOR Minas.
About the projects
Born in Morada Nova de Minas, 318 km from Belo Horizonte, architects
Assis Humberto and
Marcus Vinícius , from
Studio Arquitetônico, surprise with the Espaço (COM)VIVER. One of the highlights of the space is the
walls made with construction waste – including CASACOR itself. The coating was carried out by women from the
Arquitetura na Periferia and
Bioarquitetar projects, who collected soils of different shades from landfills. From this, they developed a
type of natural paint that was used to coat the entire exterior and interior. of the environment, and draws attention due to the unique effect that evokes a timeless rusticity.
The duo
Evandro Melato and
Pabrício Amaral , founders of
Studio 126 Arquitetura , based in Muriaé, 312 km from BH, are also participating in CASACOR Minas for the first time. They chose to pay tribute to the miner, geologist, businessman and great supporter of culture. and art, Osmar Puperi, founder of Quartzito do Brasil. The Bateia Bungalow is a
space completely integrated with the exterior . The highlight of the space is the bathtub carved in soapstone, which emerges from the floor, proposing a true disconnection with urban life. . “Since we began our journey in architecture,
we have always had CASACOR as a reference and inspiration . As this is our first participation, it has been very unique. We have received very special feedback from professionals and the public, who have absorbed our vision and identify with the language of our work. work”, highlights Evandro Melato.
From Itaúna, almost 90 km from the capital,
Francisco Morais makes his debut after a successful participation in the
Janelas CASACOR project in 2020. He is responsible for the design of Módulo 37, a space perfectly aligned with contemporary times. Built in
steel frame , The environment offers the possibility of
dry construction, which is sustainable and much faster than conventional construction . With intelligent use of space, the module is transportable and stands out for its multifunctionality. “We are talking about an event of national relevance, which presents trends, highlights the great names in the field, and is a reference for all those passionate about architecture and interiors. So, for me, who has only been in the industry for five years,
it is truly a privilege.” being on this team . A recognition for the identity I have already built, even though I am still at the beginning of my professional career”, summarizes Francisco Morais.
Duo Arquitetos e Droysen Tomich - Café Panini e Jardim Restauro.
The Paninoteca, designed by
Gabriel Xavier and
Pedro Sousa , from
Duo Arquitetos , in Pará de Minas, presents a more Mediterranean architecture, with a predominance of neutral tones and more natural textures. One of the highlights of the project is the
adobe cobogó – designed by architects –, which very coherently rescues the central theme of the exhibition “
The Original House ”. "Participating in CASACOR is a unique and very significant experience for an architecture firm:
the possibility of creating connections, following trends and showing the identity from the office makes the event an enriching experience”, says Pedro Sousa.

According to Alessandra Oliveira, one of the firm’s founders,
participating in CASACOR opens up a new professional perspective . “It is undoubtedly a great opportunity to present our ideas, expand our network with colleagues, special suppliers and have contact with consumers eager for new products. and inspiration”, he defines.
Francisco Oliveira - Varanda do Bar. Also from Divinópolis, architect and designer
Francisco Oliveira is another new name at the show. He is responsible for the entire project and some pieces of furniture for the Varanda do Bar environment, which also functions as a
viewpoint for the Serra do Curral . For this project inspired by in the backlands, he chose to work with earthy tones, bringing a more arid aesthetic, as if everything was modeled from clay. Highlights include the
São João lamp, inspired by the lanterns typical of June festivals , and the suspended version of the Adélia armchair , inspired by the writer Adélia Prado.
(Daniel Mansur/CASACOR)
