CASA COR SC: Architects praise the original architecture of the headquarters
In order to enhance the architecture and history of the CASA COR SC headquarters, Anna Maya and Anderson Schussler created an environment that takes advantage of the original structure

Marked by the Spanish neocolonial style, is the emblematic house of historian Oswaldo Rodrigues Cabral, in the center of Florianópolis. The mansion was built between the 1940s and 1950s and still has its original features. Thinking about its architectural and historical richness, the architects Anna Maya and Anderson Schussler, from the Anna Maya & Anderson Schussler Arquitetura e Interiores office, designed a 16 m² dining room at CASACOR Santa Catarina 2016 , which aims to rescue the splendor of the emblematic building.
The duo will take advantage of the house's original structure and introduce contemporary lines through the furniture they selected. "We preserved the original floor and ceiling and a wall with striped painting that we restored and decided to highlight to show the house's original architecture. The furniture and carpentry gives more modern styles to the space", says Anna.
Of the furniture in the space, the standout feature is the bookcase designed to house family china and crystal. "We designed the chandelier in twisted iron in a more rustic style," explains the architect. The painting by artist Juliano Aguiar completes the scene, exploring the palette predominant in the decor.
