The A'Design Award is an annual award ceremony held in Italy that honors design projects judged by 50 experts in the field. This year, the awards ceremony took place on April 15th and the winner was the Interiors category of the 2014 edition. -2015, the David Guerra Arquitetura e Interiores office, which won the Silver A'Design Award with the project for the “Bossa Nova” apartment, created for Casa Cor MG 2014.
“Casa Cor offers the opportunity to carry out an authorial project with greater freedom and gives the possibility of achieving results that are more faithful to your convictions, in a place where you are both the professional and the client”, says architect David Guerra. . The 55 m² apartment was created for an executive who travels a lot for work and needs functionality and elegance. To make the most of the space in the small property, the following areas were integrated: dining room, living room, kitchen and bedroom. to promote privacy, dividing panels were installed. “To define the layout of the apartment, the main concept adopted was fluidity, so necessary in modern times, creating flexible and wide spaces, which allow circulation throughout the environment. Thus, the living room living room, dining room, home, bedroom, kitchen, closet and bathroom are integrated, maintaining the privacy and convenience of the kitchen, which can also be completely closed, giving the impression of being a closet, and the privacy of the bathroom and closet, which are behind the wall/headboard of the bed”, explains David. The A'Design Awards & Competition is the most widely known international design award today, with its latest edition receiving more than 12,536 entries from 208 different countries. Each year, the event's organizers publish the International Design Ranking, which becoming a major reference for critics and scholars of the contemporary design scene.
