The duplex penthouse in Ipanema (RJ) was a huge attraction for the couple with three children: an outdoor area on the upper floor of 100 m². A feast for the tropical landscaping designed by
Anna Luiza Rothier, from the cast of
CASACOR Rio de Janeiro – the greenery, including, also complements the interiors signed by the firm
Migs Arquitetura, of architects
Adriana Valle and Patricia Carvalho.

"The main request from the clients was a lush landscaping, with many plants on the facade balconies to inhibit the view from neighboring buildings," says Rothier.

The concept of the project aimed to create a home-like atmosphere in the
apartment through plants and provide maximum privacy to the residents. To hide the "leaning" neighboring building over the penthouse pool, Ana Luiza erected a high aluminum divider to serve as support for the
vertical garden, filled with Asparagus crispus and Regiane bromeliads.

Also with the intention of inhibiting the view from neighbors, the surroundings of the
balconies (both from the terrace and the couple's suite) received linear planters made of plastic material, with an external steel corten finish.

"We used several tropical species to create a lush garden, alternating tall, medium low, and hanging plants, such as
Thumbergia erecta, Leea coccínea, Liriops, Marantha charuto, Schizocensus, Areca bamboo, Alpinia purpurata, Zebrina pendula, and Neomarica grass," enumerates the landscaper. [gallery-abril id="193082" type="slider_super" showtitle="undefined" data-restrict="false"]
