Guided by the theme Body & Home , from CASACOR São Paulo 2023 , landscaper Mônica Costa presents a sensorial and immersive Urban Garden of well-being and pleasure. There are 100 m² that promote connection with nature and awaken environmental awareness , encouraging visitors to get involved in growing plants, allowing them to better understand the life cycle of food, the importance of water and the need for sustainable agricultural practices .

"This experience can lead to a deeper appreciation of the environment and a greater adoption of ecological behaviors," says the professional, who is an expert in creating urban gardens, a trend that has dominated her office's requests for post-pandemic gardens . Upon entering the space, visitors are immediately immersed in the balcony , which seeks to explore disconnection, showing how to allow oneself to touch, smell, cultivate, receive and be enchanted by the wonders of nature.

The refuge has a picnic-style table, fabric sculpture and wooden benches, which mix with Vietnamese vases , ornamental and fruit plants such as jabuticaba, olive, orange and tropical foliage. Outside, a vertical garden was created on the wall, which is a true oasis of beauty and tranquility due to its different species of plants, which give it a unique and charming look .
Among the foliage, two in particular stand out: the Philodendron Ondulata , exuberant with its vibrant green leaves, and the Boldinho , with very delicate purple flowers. Nature is also expressed in pots with rosemary, basil, lavender and a mix of herbs , which includes goldfish, rue, parsley, pepper, chives, bell pepper and mint, which bring a pleasant aroma to the environment.

“Working with the land, feeling nature, perceiving cycles and observing the dynamics of life interacting all the time, awakens our senses , takes care of our health and nourishes us. I worked on the functional garden of the urban garden as well as a sensory gardenWays of interacting with the space and expanding the connection, bringing beauty and functionality to the garden, that is, body and home ”, adds the landscaper.
