When it comes to the air we breathe, we can never be too careful. Recently, news about
pollution levels in Brazilian cities , especially São Paulo, alarmed the population and raised an alert about air quality. According to the WHO, with data from the Vigiar Panel, which aims to monitor air quality and its impact on health, almost the entire Brazilian population breathes air with
pollution levels higher than those recommended by the World Health Organization . Some habits are recommended to ensure well-being, such as drinking more water, using humidifiers and growing plants capable of purifying the air. Below, check out the main species recommended by NASA:
1. Peace Lily
The peace lily is often associated with good energy and feelings of prosperity. In addition to its mystical potential, this plant is capable of making the air cleaner and benefiting the health of the home.
2. Elephant Ear

Plants with more abundant leaves can be great for helping to clean the air. This is the case of the banana tree, which, in addition to providing thermal comfort, is an excellent choice for balancing and making the home's atmosphere cleaner, as well as ensuring more humidity.
4. Weeping fig
With
dense foliage and the ability to bring beauty and personality , the weeping fig was chosen by NASA as one of the most efficient plants for cleaning the air as it is capable of
reducing the negative effect of gases such as formaldehyde, benzene and trichloroethylene.
5. Aloe Vera
One of the all-time favorite medicinal plants,
Aloe Vera has
moisturizing and anti-inflammatory properties. At the same time, it is capable of cleaning both in terms of energy and air quality.
