The backyard is a space to enjoy the outdoors, gather with the family and have meals outdoors. With this in mind, architect Gizelle Leite designed, in 600 m 2 , a structure to add sophistication to the environment, but also bring comfort to everyone who lives and visits the home.

Located in Itanhangá, Rio de Janeiro , the house, which faces Pedra da Gávea, was built 20 years ago. Despite the availability of space, the green area only had a lawn – and, with the pandemic, residents felt the need to bring more utility to the environment , in addition to having a swimming pool .

“The initial request was to build a pool with very tropical landscaping . Then the modernization of the facade and redesigning the room with a beach style ”, says Gizelle, who used greyish green covering for the pool, bringing a contrast with the wooden deck , giving a very intimate atmosphere.

The barbecue was built on the balcony with a joinery enclosure to protect it on days when it is not used. For decoration, a neutral color palette was adopted with some details in warm colors to ensure contrast.

The furniture was all designed by Gizelle to ensure total personalization of the project, further adding value to the property.
