In recent years, decorating with plants has become increasingly common in projects of different styles. After all, plants bring positive energy to spaces and taking care of them can be a true meditation.
In an interview with the website, the architect specialized in landscape architecture, Clariça Lima, answered some questions about the function and care of different species to create a decoration with plants at home.
What are the most recommended plant species to have at home?
I really like to use green Pleomele, Chamedorea Elegans, Pinanga, and Lanças. They are resistant plants, need little water and light and are ornamental plants.
How can we use plants in decoration?
We can use bromeliads, hanging plants, and tropical garden arrangements using creativity. They make the house more colorful and cheerful.
What do you need to set up and care for a vegetable garden at home?
To set up a vegetable garden you need light and organic soil.
What kind of benefits can having plants at home bring?
Plants always humanize environments and spaces. Landscaping is an extension of Architecture; it is a way of bringing greenery into the home, the backyard, and corporate spaces. It is a way of getting closer to nature.
Incorporating plants into your living room decor helps to remove negative energy from the space, make it more airy and, as a bonus, gives the space a beautiful natural look.
Decorating with plants in the bathroom is something new. Here, architect Bianca da Hora innovated with rustic plants that are resistant even in places with little sunlight.
Vases with flower arrangements or plants are great ways to bring a pleasant aroma to your kitchen. Placing plants near the window is a smart tip to ensure they stay healthy and last a long time. It is also possible to create a decoration with plants using natural herbs such as mint, chamomile, thyme, etc.
