The cold days are becoming more and more intense. Temperatures fluctuate a lot, and for those who are "plant parents" there is that concern about which species is best to grow in colder seasons.
It is common to find less vibrant decorations during the winter, and flowers can be a way to bring color and joy to the décor . Even so, it is important to choose the species carefully. According to the founder of Giuliana Flores, Clóvis Souza: "you need to choose those that are more resistant and require less watering ". Below, check out 5 recommendations from the expert:
Known as the “queen of winter”, cyclamen is a species that adapts well to low temperatures such as 5°C. Originally from Mediterranean regions such as Syria and Greece, it can reach 20 to 30 centimeters in height . Its petals are heart-shaped and are found in white, pink, red, lilac and salmon colors.
The expert warns that these flowers need to be kept in well-ventilated environments and receive little water to stay beautiful and healthy. "Remember that the better the care, the greater the chance that your home will be in bloom in spring," he concludes.
