How to care for the boa plant at home? Here are the main tips
The jiboia plant, also known as the hera do-diabo, is one of the most popular species for creating a vertical garden at home. Its rapid growth, lush foliage and ease of maintenance have made it very popular among those who want to incorporate more greenery indoors. Despite its beauty and practicality, the boa can be toxic to animals and may require extra care. If you're thinking of including this plant in your home decor, it's important to know how to look after it properly to ensure healthy growth.

The boa constrictor is an indoor plant belonging to the Araceae family, native to the regions of Oceania, especially the Solomon Islands. Its main characteristic is its shiny green leaves, which can have shades of yellow or white, depending on the variety. In addition, it is a plant that, grown indoors, looks beautiful and can be the key for those who want a fast-growing climbing plant.

Despite being a plant that requires little maintenance, the boa plant is toxic to pets and children. If ingested, it can cause symptoms such as irritation in the mouth, vomiting and breathing difficulties. It is therefore essential to keep it out of the reach of small children and curious animals, especially cats. One solution could be to adopt it as a bathroom plant.

The cultivation of the boa constrictor is relatively simple, making it ideal for beginners. The plant grows well in vases with well-drained soil, preferring places with indirect or low light. When watering, it is important to ensure that the soil is dry to the touch between waterings, avoiding waterlogging so as not to rot the roots. During the summer, watering can be more frequent. In addition, organic fertilizers can be used occasionally to stimulate growth, but the boa does not require a large amount of nutrients to stay healthy. If you want an even more beautiful plant, you can prune the branches to give the plant shape and stimulate the growth of new shoots.
