In recent years, bringing nature into the home has become a trend that seems to be here to stay. Living with plants and dedicating time each day to caring for them can make your routine easier and increase your sense of well-being. And at CASACOR São Paulo 2024, there is no shortage of ideas on how to do this. But this time, the architects and interior designers went further and included lush landscaping projects in the decor. The idea is to work with shapes, nuances and textures of foliage from various species to create even more charming and cozy environments. Check out 10 inspirations below!

1. Natural atmosphere

Adriana Valle and Patricia Carvalho - Master Suite. CASACOR São Paulo 2024 project.

(MCA Estúdio/CASACOR)

Designed by Migs Arquitetura , by Rio de Janeiro architects Adriana Valle and Patricia, the Couple's Suite combines the pleasure of feeling at home with the comfort of the best hotel rooms. “We thought of a space that would offer a complete sensory experience , with materials of different textures, a rug to caress the feet, delicate works of art and lush landscaping,” says Adriana. The garden of foliage behind the bed with a straw headboard completes the casual look and the well-being atmosphere.

2. Urban oasis

Altera Architecture - Echoes of the Past. CASACOR São Paulo 2024 Project.

(Camila Santos/CASACOR)

In the loft designed by architect Renan Altera , indoor landscaping takes center stage alongside the interior design. The careful selection of plants , shrubs and trees provides visual privacy and acts as a natural barrier to sound and temperature changes, creating a peaceful and pleasant atmosphere. An interesting detail is that the list of species includes aromatic and phytotherapeutic plants that refer to cultural connection, promoting physical and mental well-being . Surrounding the garden is the spa bathroom, an important part of the loft, which offers a relaxing experience.

3. Tree is highlighted

Barbara Dundes - Casa Tao. CASACOR São Paulo 2024 project. Barbara Dundes - Casa Tao. Understanding the universe, the nature and the constancy of its cycles is the purpose of this 60 m² house, guided by a term from Chinese philosophy: tao, which in Mandarin can mean path or method. The concept encompasses the journey that makes each thing what it is – including the history of its raw materials and the labor used in its construction. “The breathing of each person involved in these processes also contributes to the uniqueness of an environment”, explains the architect. A tree brings a feeling of freshness and relief. The stainless steel walls draw sober reflections and highlight the colors of the surroundings.

Measuring 62 m2 , the house created by architect Bárbara Dundes has an imposing tree at the entrance, which is the center of everything and symbolizes the paradigm of connection with what is primitive, in addition to bringing a feeling of breathing and relief, generating comfort and well-being. The architect connected with Taoism — an Eastern philosophical tradition that has as its theory the Tao, a Chinese word that can mean “path” or “method.” Following this concept, the space seeks to highlight and understand the universe, nature and the constancy of its cycles of transformation.

4. Green and terracotta, the perfect pair

In the master suite, which is part of the project designed by NJ+ , the bed is accompanied by a window behind it, which opens onto the green landscaping . This opening brings even more life to the space, which is connected to the bathroom by an open wall, where a bathtub complements the suite. The green of nature also makes a beautiful contrast with the terracotta tone that permeates the entire space.

5. Tropical garden

Right at the entrance to the exhibition, the ticket office lounge evokes nature. In the space, designed by Daniela Funari , the tropical landscaping , created by Bruna De Mari, is a highlight and includes a large side garden and several vases. Behind the arrangement of sofas are Pleomeles Limão, Ravenalas, Alpineas, Clusias and Colocasias. According to the landscaper, these species are native and the idea is to convey the feeling that everything was created naturally, without much human interference. The species are semi-shaded, hardy and easy to maintain.

6. Green in the spotlight

Natan Gil Architecture - Peugeot House of Silence. CASACOR São Paulo 2024 project.

(Carolina Mossin/CASACOR)

From the colorful lounge created by interior designer Paola Ribeiro at Casa Coral, you can see a lush tropical garden with lush foliage . The decor, characterized by colorful walls, antique objects and a wide variety of fabrics with reinterpretations of classic prints, is made even more alive by the strong presence of nature, which enters through the windows.

8. Home office with plants

Rodolfo Consoli - Home Office. CASACOR São Paulo 2024 Project.

(MCA Estúdio/CASACOR)

Architect Rodolfo Consoli designed a complete home office for the exhibition, where he sought to create a comfortable, welcoming and visually light space. To achieve this, the architect invested in materials with varied textures. To break the monotony of this neutral base, bright colors appear in strategic points, such as in the paintings and in the rug with a maxi floral print, in shades of green, terracotta and mustard, in addition to the foliage of the robust vases , positioned next to the table.

9. Brazilian landscape

ROOM2 Architecture - Urucum House. Project by CASACOR São Paulo 2024.

(Bia Nauiack/CASACOR)

In the project by the SALA2 Arquitetura office, vernacular architecture is present in several elements, adapted to the present day. The choice of the conical roof, the use of wood and natural Brazilian stone and the striking presence of the color red, inspired by the annatto plant, are tributes to the wisdom and aesthetics of the native peoples. In the background, foliage at different heights completes the scene, recalling the abundant nature present in Brazil.

10. Nature integrated into design

Studio Ro+Ca - Loft Celmar - 2064. Projeto da CASACOR São Paulo 2024. (MCA Estúdio/CASACOR)

A suspended bookcase maintains fluidity in the division of spaces in the loft designed by Studio Ro+Ca . Installed between the living room and the bedroom, the piece highlights the geometry in composition with the life that the lush landscaping of foliage brings . In search of natural lighting, it gains an opening in the ceiling with marked wooden beams. Above them, an installation of metallic inflatable spheres is reminiscent of time capsules. The space also features a carpet made from PET bottle fibers, as a sustainable commitment to be lived and remembered.
