Based on a series of reflections on
legacy and
ancestry , the concept of the
CASACOR Piauí 2024 pool garden was developed, designed by architect
Marina Campanhã. The Serra da Capivara National Park inspired the name of the environment:
Boqueirão , a reference to the Serra boqueirãos that house several cave paintings and historical finds. The landscaping highlights the region's characteristic vegetation by filling the 300m² area with the
beauty and uniqueness of the caatinga , such as carnaúbas, palm cacti, patis, mangrove ferns, xananas and macambiras, in addition to the region's typical rocks used as bedding. of the flowerbeds. Inserted in the garden, an iron sculpture made by designer Bruno Andrade, welcomes visitors and resembles an hourglass of time, which marks the trajectory of humanity.

The space forms a
timeline , which goes from the heart of ancestry with the natural biological beach pool, which represents the sea that covered the hinterland millions of years ago, to Boqueirão, which exalts Brazilian history. Boqueirão was created by scenographer João Druída, who used the vernacular artistic technique
Massaroca to cover and shape a self-supporting metal structure, as well as the pillars in the shape of dry caatinga trees during the dry season.

The mirror represents a portal that "takes the visitor to another dimension", says the architect. It was designed with a metal lattice structure surrounded by chicken wire, then covered with reused cotton fabrics and discarded onion bags, to later receive the massaroca. In this way, the structure became hollow and lighter and required less material for sealing
— a concern of the architect with sustainability .

On the beach, you can see sculptures that represent the Carboniferous period, where eggs began to have a more rigid membrane, enabling the emergence of species that could live exclusively in terrestrial environments.

Contemporary art predominates in the furniture: the curve maintains the fluidity of the
layout and connects modernity to ancestral elements. Therefore, the pergola is a break for relaxation, with a hammock made of tucum threads
— a strong element of northeastern homes
— that contrasts with technological spas. But the architect emphasizes: "It's important to be in the present without forgetting the future." To represent this thought, the ambient soundtrack was created using
Artificial Intelligence (AI) resources.

The stones sculpted by the action of water and wind inspired the architect to
bring the "sea" to the CASACOR Piauí pool garden , alongside a curved gazebo, which represents the organic forms and fluidity of nature's architecture. "It represents the home of our ancestors, who took shelter and felt safe and welcomed in the caves. Therefore, its dimensions have scales that bring this embrace in the perception of space", says architect Marina Campanhã.
