If in previous years small plants dominated the interiors, in this edition of
CASACOR SP it's impossible not to notice the prominence of
indoor trees. With a striking presence in various projects of the exhibition, they appear in a maxi scale, occupying
living rooms, halls, and even bathrooms with naturalness — and a lot of impact!

More than a
decorative trend, the use of indoor trees indicates a
desire for closeness to nature, even inside the house. These are choices that
contribute to well-being, bring freshness to the air, and help shape the aesthetics of the projects with authenticity and personality.

How to include trees in interior decor
The trend of indoor trees requires attention to some aspects of the project — especially related to
structure, lighting, and irrigation. When well planned, they transform the project without compromising comfort or functionality. Here are some tips we learned from CASACOR SP 2025:
Choose the ideal location
Spacious projects with high ceilings and good input of
natural light are ideal for accommodating larger trees. Integrated balconies, rooms with skylights, or areas under generous windows are great options. The important thing is to
ensure the plant has room to grow without hitting the ceiling or walls.
Pay attention to the pot and substrate
If the tree is cultivated in a
pot, it is ideal to choose
large and deep models that allow for good root development. The substrate should also be
light, well-drained, and rich in organic matter, ensuring the health of the plant in the long term.
Take care of maintenance
Just like any
indoor plant, indoor trees need
continuous attention: proper watering, periodic fertilizing, light pruning, and monitoring for pests. Consulting a
landscaper or specialized professional can make all the difference when choosing and caring for the right species.

Ficus lyrata
Known as
fiddle-leaf fig, it is one of the most popular trees for indoor use. With
wide leaves and a sculptural appearance, it adapts well to intense indirect light and adds grandeur to the space.
Jabuticabeira
A
symbol of affection for many Brazilians, the jabuticabeira frequently appears in projects integrated with balconies or with access to filtered light. It requires
special attention with watering and soil, but provides strong visual impact.
Bamboo palm
With a light and tropical appearance, the bamboo palm is a
palm tree that thrives in large pots, especially in spaces with diffused light. Its elegant leaves create movement and freshness.
Jatobá
For those looking for a
tree with a striking presence, the jatobá can be a great choice. With
ornamental trunk and delicate leaves, it needs plenty of light and ventilation.
Monstera tree form
Although technically not a tree, the
monstera grown on support structures can reach considerable heights and bring a
dramatic and sculptural touch to the décor.
