Open to the public since September 14, CASACOR Minas Gerais has once again established itself as the largest exhibition in the state , attracting thousands of visitors at each edition. This year's selection of professionals includes a vast team of veterans and young talents in architecture, design and landscaping. In total, 71 professionals are responsible for the production of 47 environments inspired by the theme “ The Original House ”. See below six unmissable reasons to schedule your visit right now!

Innovative construction techniques

As most of the environments are located in the external areas of the Palácio das Mangabeiras , where the exhibition is based, there was a significant investment in both architecture and landscaping, allowing the presentation of innovative construction techniques such as the system presented by the Lafaete group and Smart Home. , which allows sustainable modular constructions; or the Cabana da Liga Arquitetura which is ready in just 20 days . Other buildings that surprise with the architectural solutions presented are the Acqua House, by Cristina Menezes, inspired by ancient Roman houses, and the Bateia Bangalô, by Studio 126 Arquitetura, which dared to use materials such as soapstone, creating a bathtub that emerges from the floor.

Landscaping and restoration

This edition also places a lot of emphasis on landscaping . The art of editing

Art, which is already a constant presence at the show, gained even more prominence this year. In addition to the Casa com Arte space, by Patrícia Hermanny, in homage to the artist Israel Kislansky, considered one of the greatest Brazilian sculptors, this edition features the participation of from important galleries such as Murilo Castro and Orlando Lemos, in addition to temporary occupations at the CASACOR Mini-Gallery, which has been hosting a series of traveling exhibitions. The exhibition “Diana Noite - A Deusa da Independência Feminina”, presented by Brizola Arte; “Mundos”, organized by Murilo Castro Galeria, bringing together works by artist Juliana Gontijo; Coletivo Libertas with an exhibition bringing together several independent artists and INHOTIM with the exhibition “Múltiplos”. During this last week, the public will be able to see the exhibition "Giramundo 50 anos", organized by Galeria da Cemig. The exhibition brings together puppets from nine of the group's shows and is a preview of an exhibition by the group that is being organized for 2022. Added to this are the creative interventions Siré (Xirê), by Gustavo Greco; Simbionte, by Leca Novo; and Design for All Senses, by José Lourenço; in addition to the Abreu Gallery, designed by Patrícia Abreu, a space entirely dedicated to the appreciation of of art.

Each year, sustainability gains even more prominence at the show. In this edition, in addition to generating all the energy consumed at the event through photovoltaic panels supplied by Optpower, several projects explore the theme. One of them is the Espaço COM(VIVER) ), by Studio Arquitetônico, whose walls were built from construction waste – including from CASACOR itself. The hues were obtained from a mixture of earths, creating a unique and surprising visual effect. The integration with the environment allowed the creation of spaces that make the most of natural light, saving electricity.

No teto, cabos de aço esticados recebem sedas em várias padronagens, como se fossem flâmulas. Também multicoloridos, retalhos de tapetes cobrem o piso. Gastronomy has always been one of the highlights of CASACOR Minas, and this edition continues to faithfully reflect the relationship of the people of Minas Gerais with cuisine. The person responsible for curating and designing the cuisine for this edition is the award-winning Italian chef Massimo Bataglini , who, together with Henrique Benerick, from Benericks, presents the restaurant “Outland Al Mare”, with architectural design by the Casa Tereze office. With an exclusive menu for CASACOR Minas, the concept was inspired by the Adriatic Sea . Among the chef's bets are the tuna roast beef with fig and almond honey, melon, watermelon and cucumber and bruschetta with raw cod carpaccio .
The inspiration for the Benericks Bar, located around the pool and designed by Daniel Tavares and Cynthia Vianna, came from Venetian bars, which is why the Negroni is the main drink and red predominates throughout the furniture. The menu includes a menu of surprising drinks and antipasti that are part of Italian appetizers. The Panini and Jardim do Restauro café, by Duo Arquitetos in partnership with landscaper Droysen Tomich, offers a menu dedicated to creations that use bread as the main base. Armazém Origem Minas, designed by Cynthia Silvia and Ibiá Design, is the place to stock your pantry with products from Minas Gerais . There are jams, cheeses, cookies, coffees, sweets, preserves and a multitude of creations signed by Minas Gerais producers, selected from from the Origem Minas program, from Sebrae/MG.
