Spotify launches playlist that stimulates plant growth

Since the 1970s, there has been a popular theory that vibrations from audio content stimulate plant growth. With this in mind, Spotify created the Music for Plants playlist that provides good vibrations for your indoor plants .

Listening data has shown that mornings are the top time Spotify users play audio for their plants. Additionally, the data also revealed that one in ten people (12%) worldwide tried using some type of audio content , be it music or podcasts, to care for their plants in the past year. Here in Brazil, this rate was even greater: 19% of the population adhered to the practice .

Many Spotify users have also created their own playlists, and named them after houseplants. The popular song choices for these playlists reflect a variety of genres , featuring tracks such as Frank Ocean's "Ivy"; "Butterfly Effect"; ", by Travis Scott; "Mr. Brightside", by The Killers; "Garden (Say It Like Dat)", by SZA and "Here Comes the Sun", by The Beatles.
