Spoiler: see the first details of CASACOR Rio 2022!

There's very little left now! Just a few more days and CASACOR Rio will once again open the doors of Residência Brando Barbosa , where it is based for the second year in a row. This time, the palace that won over locals and tourists with its classic charm appears different, with much more contemporary environments and a very original configuration. Out goes the idea of a house, in comes that of a cultural institute .

And what can't be missing in a space like this? A Music Room, of course. The environment (image above), decorated by Tiago Freire , kept the piano that belongs to the Residence and featured many works of art, including popular art . And there is even more to see there, such as a beautiful tribute to the artist Nelson Leirner , who would turn 90 in 2022 – but that spoiler remains until the opening of the exhibition.

Art, in fact, will be one of the biggest highlights of this edition , with works by big names in practically all environments. Innovations even appear in the way of presenting, as is the case with Gisele Taranto 's space, which exhibits her works in person, in the middle of the bamboo grove, in the form of augmented reality; and also virtually, in a gallery created exclusively in Metaverso .

And, as is customary, there is also a lot of national design . In addition to iconic pieces that we are already used to seeing, this edition will bring new releases, such as furniture designed by the duo Adriana Valle and Patricia Carvalho , for their Winter Garden; and also reissues, such as from Bernardo Figueiredo 's bookshelf, by the Contemporary Archive. The piece is one of the highlights of Espaço Prosa, by Paula Neder and Coletivo PN+ .

Another thing that will certainly catch the attention of visitors is the presence of greenery . And not just the increasingly exuberant nature of the house's gardens . Color appears in many environments, in the most different shades and in the most diverse forms : covering walls, on objects and even carpets. Interior designer Paola Ribeiro , for example, covered her Living da Fonte with the cyan tone.

CASACOR Rio de Janeiro takes place from April 27th to June 26th and has the participation of 43 teams of professionals , including architects, interior designers and landscapers. There will be 45 spaces set up at the Brando Barbosa Residence , in Jardim Botânico. Just like in the last edition, the exhibition will be hybrid, with an in-person version and a digital version, with 3D tours that will be available right here on the website.
