SP-Arte Rotas Brasileiras brings together projects that celebrate national art

In its second edition, from August 30 to September 3, the art fair will present 70 exhibitors and around 300 artists at ARCA, in São Paulo

Based on the success of SP–Arte , which will be 20 years old in 2024, SP–Brazilian Routes Art will hold its second edition from August 30th to September 3rd at ARCA, in São Paulo . With 70 projects curated especially for the occasion by galleries from across the country, the event celebrates the diversity and richness of Brazilian art .

The list of participants is made up of already established galleries, such as Almeida & Dale, Fortes D'Aloia & Gabriel, Gomide&Co, Millan and Red , younger galleries like Central, HOA, Jaqueline Martins, VERVE and , as well as those located outside the RJ-SP axis, such as Cerrado (Goiânia), Lima (Saint Louis of Maranhão), Ground Zero (Recife), Mitre (Belo Horizonte) and Paulo Darze (Salvador) .
In addition to galleries, the SP–Brazilian Routes Art will have special projects. This is the case of Sertão Negro , a space for artistic residency and experience founded by the artist from Goiás Dalton Paula (32nd São Paulo Biennial and New Museum Triennial, 2018); from the project New to Us , by Renan Quevedo, whose curation will focus on different faiths in the country; from the artistic collective Church of the Kingdom of Art , in Rio de Janeiro, founded by artists such as Zé Tepedino, Edu de Barros and Maxwell Alexandre; from the project Xiloceasa , a collective of artists from the Ceagesp region formed at Ateliescola Acaia; and the gallery GDA , founded and managed by artists, will show this year the Minas Gerais photographic collection “Retratistas do Morro”, by João Mendes and Afonso Pimenta.

The fair also offers audio guides themed songs produced by guest curators, which will be available on Spotify, guided tours and conversations with artists . On August 19th, the SP–Art Circuit with the opening of a solo exhibition Maxwell Alexander in the Casa SP–Arte . This program includes activities throughout the city promoted by exhibitors, such as cocktails, openings, talks, guided tours, open studios, among others. You tickets for the fair are already on sale at SP–Arte app . The free app is available in iOS and Android versions and provides access to all the fair content, as well as the cultural agenda in São Paulo.
