'
Sowing Dreams ' is the creative proposal for 2025 by
CASACOR , the largest cultural platform for architecture, landscaping, art and interior design in the Americas. The theme, defined by the curatorial team after studying scenarios and trends, was presented this Tuesday (5) at the
Teatro Cultura Artística , in São Paulo, during Eixos CASACOR, an annual event that highlights the future of architecture and design, presenting new market perspectives for the community of architects and sponsors.
The theme was revealed alongside a visionary exploration led by architect and designer
Marko Brajovic , an expert in biomimicry – a field of science that studies nature to create innovative and sustainable solutions to humanity’s challenges. With a degree in architecture from the University of Venice and a master’s degree in Parametric Design, Brajovic is known for collaborating with brands and cultural institutions, creating works that connect design, nature and art. The presentation by Atelier Marko Brajovic, entitled '
Forest City ', served as an introduction to the reflections that CASACOR wants to guide in the coming year and to reaffirm its commitment to being in tune with contemporary issues that impact the market. The brand also announced other news, such as its
expansion to Costa Rica , in Central America, a
new website completely restructured and focused on the user experience, in addition to the date of the São Paulo show, the main event on the calendar, which will take place from
May 20 to July 27, 2025 .
Sowing Dreams
The theme of CASACOR 2025 is based on three pillars:
collective dreams, ecosystems in cooperation and confluence of knowledge . The first invites us to reflect on the capacity to dream collectively and create a desirable future, which guides human actions with harmony and collaboration. Next, there is the integration between the urban and the natural, promoting the idea of
cities as living ecosystems , which challenge the separation between the built environment and nature, proposing the creation of cities that function like forests. In addition, there is collaboration between different disciplines and cultures, with
transdisciplinarity being fundamental to develop innovative and sustainable solutions, connecting architecture, engineering, biology, social sciences and many other areas.
Livia Pedreira , president of the curatorship, explains that the idea is
to encourage professionals to rethink their practices , in a scenario where population density in urban areas tends to grow more and more. "The most recent World Cities Report, by UN-Habitat, indicates that
68% of the population will be urban by 2050. Today, on average, 56% of the global population already lives in these areas. CASACOR's research points to
nature as an ally in cities , which is where life happens. We need to imagine a new way of living and dream with the collective, in a planetary pact for the survival of the human species."
With the word, Marko Brajovic

"Things don't happen if they can't be imagined" , says Marko Brajovic when talking about one of his recent provocations, in which he presents an image of the Marginal do Rio Pinheiros, in São Paulo, transformed into a collective area and inhabited by several species, with water suitable for bathing, amidst tropical vegetation, functioning as an
urban food forest . This dream scenario, transformed into reality by
biomimicry , is inspired by natural regenerative energy agriculture by algae, interacting with metabolic processes of water treatment and digital distribution of information. All life forms work in an integrated network with biologically inspired architecture, human productive activities, and nutritious abundance and coexistence. "
We suffer from an inability to visualize possible futures . When I present this type of image, I want to reactivate this ability." With this and other inspiring architecture and experience design projects, Marko Brajovic brings reflections on the backbone of CASACOR 2025's theme, 'Sowing Dreams'.
He makes it clear that we do not have answers, but good questions about how human beings can use their capacity for anticipation and adaptability to live collectively on a planet that is already facing the impacts of climate change.

In addition to collaboration, according to Marko, nature also teaches us about
regenerative processes , which can be applied biomimetically in various projects. He explains that in the multispecies city, designed to accommodate all forms of life, there are no isolated parks. It is time to evolve the concept, bringing a new panorama in which the city map will no longer have green squares inside a huge gray square.
The intention is for green to spread to every corner , bringing with it insects, birds, fungi, water, shade and freshness, in addition to improving air quality. All intertwined with the daily dynamics of the forest city. "The romantic, untouched environment, where you go to contemplate confined nature and then return to everyday life, has become obsolete.
Contemporary parks are the places where the cities of the future will be born , because many of them are already undergoing transformation. We see the presence of shops, brands, activations and events. This is positive because it creates an operational relationship between the park and other urban structures," he explains. "
We need to take ownership of our parks, have empathy for them, create a relationship of identity and care. If the inhabitants recognize themselves there, it will be possible, from these places, to imagine cities", he concludes.

With this vision of the future as a guide, CASACOR São Paulo will hold its 38th edition at Parque da Água Branca, an
urban green space of great historical and cultural importance, known for its
137 thousand square meters of preserved remnants of the Atlantic Forest . Opened in 1929 and protected by heritage, it is an
essential natural refuge within the city, offering a rare combination of nature and history. "We were lucky to find Parque da Água Branca for CASACOR São Paulo, as our research points to this ancestral scientific knowledge in the search for
alternatives for living in a world in transition ", highlights Lívia.
André Secchin , CEO of CASACOR, adds that the space is the ideal setting for 2025. "
We found the perfect place to talk about possible futures , with the connection between urban life and the natural environment. By occupying this space, CASACOR seeks to
reimagine and activate the park's potential , highlighting the importance of integrating green areas into urban development, promoting cultural, environmental and social regeneration."
