Passionate about decoration, the resident of this apartment in Barra (RJ) loves changing her house from time to time. So much so that this is the third time, in eight years, that architect
Ana Cano – from the
CASACOR Rio cast – has taken on the mission of renovating the property. But now, without many reforms.
"The last work we did, six years ago, is still meeting her and her 21-year-old son's needs well. But
this time, we changed the decor a lot and made small interventions ", says Ana. "When I arrived at the house for the first time, everything was white. I only managed to put colors in some pillows and details. This time, we were able to create a
much more cozy project ", he adds.
To achieve this, the architect opted for
neutral, soft tones and natural materials such as
wood and marble . Right at the entrance, a
hollow bookcase draws attention that helps create the feeling of a hall in the 150 m² apartment .
The colors bring a lightness that the decoration
required , as the piano – a key piece of furniture – had a very dark tone, but needed to be kept in the room, as it was
a family heirloom and carried many affectionate memories of the resident.
The entire social area project was designed to create a more welcoming atmosphere with more space to welcome friends, both at dinner, in the living room and on the balcony. The room that underwent the biggest change was the
kitchen , which gained new joinery, in a soft shade of green . All without any work, as the floors and countertops had been replaced in the previous renovation and were still in perfect condition.
