Living rooms are the true "calling card" of a home. They are usually the space where residents enjoy a rest after a long day of work, but they can also be used to socialize, read a book, watch television or do any other activity.
During the pandemic, the living room became a refuge for those working
from home , to relax during meals and even after work. And so, having a harmonious decoration that inspires and brings good feelings was what motivated the CASACOR São Paulo team to create incredible environments. With the aim of bringing excitement into homes, the theme chosen for this year's São Paulo exhibition was "
Original Home ", which proposes a series of reflections on the return to our ancestry and to what is essential. This is even clearer in living rooms! Below, we have selected
15 incredible projects from CASACOR SP 2021 for you to check out and get inspired!
1. Melina Romano - Alma Duratex House
Melina Romano, in partnership with Duratex, brings to life the philosophy that "the essential is invisible to the eye" with a minimalist living room that exudes sensations. Named Casa Alma Duratex, the space is a truly harmonious combination of different textures, neutral colors and elegant design pieces.
2. Leo Romano - Deca Studio
The generous 400 m² of the
Deca Studio reveal an energetic, optimistic and personality-filled space that reflects the theme of "Original Home" in practice. Our veteran
Leo Romano bet on natural lighting to create a living room that had good circulation and that was a "space of breath, calm and softness", he said.
3. Henrique Freneda - Eternity by a Thread
Unusual, luxurious and cozy: these are the three words that best describe
Henrique Freneda 's space for CASACOR São Paulo 2021. The interior designer invested in organic shapes and slatted walls to bring contrasts and give more energy to the project. In addition, works of art by
Ildeu Lazarinni add color to the space.
4. Buriti Architecture - Taipa Studio
A 16m² space was enough for
Jéssica Martins , from
Burti Arquitetura , to create a surprising living room that encourages the search for essence and art. “It is in this exclusive place that she finds her essence, with a corner to clean her brushes, draw and paint her works. A place to have a glass of wine, while resting from the routine that has returned to normal”, describes the architect.
5. Leo Shehtman - Social House
A
loft with a young and masculine style , aimed at a young man who is very connected to technology and trends, was the choice of veteran
Leo Shehtman for this year's CASACOR. The architect opted for dark tones and warm colors to create a connection with nature, valuing organic shapes and more rustic materials. Integration with the kitchen also strengthens a relationship of coexistence in the environment, both between residents and their guests.
6. Pottery House - Nildo José
The desire to inhabit and experience Casa Olaria is collective. Created by Nildo José , the space combined surprising shapes and designs to create a true refuge at CASACOR São Paulo 2021. The rescue of ancestral traditions is also present, and is reflected in the use of ceramics that translate the history of humanity in the environment. Sober and darker colors were chosen to compose Riserva Todeschini , a space designed by Debora Aguiar , to bring greater comfort and reflect a space focused on rest and amenities. The living room features darkened wood to create facades that filter natural light and make the atmosphere of the space more intimate. 8. Ana Weege - Living Gallery Perspective
Ana Weege made her debut at CASACOR São Paulo this year with a flourish. She developed a young, playful and extremely casual project that used organic shapes to create a living room that instigates creativity and the most intense dreams possible. Named Living Galeria Perspectiva , the space featured a sofa designed by the architect herself and designer pieces such as the bar sideboard, designed by Gustavo Bittencourt , and the Fartura armchair, by Tiago Curioni . 9. Matheus Lima - Without Tache
Matheus Lima's debut at CASACOR São Paulo 2021 was memorable. The youngest professional at the show this year opted for a living room that mixes dark tones and surprises with a four-meter-long pink sofa that contrasts with the rest of the room. The set resulted in an intimate and dramatic environment. 10- Brunete Fraccaroli - Simply Golden
Veteran
Brunete Fraccaroli brought to CASACOR São Paulo 2021 a project that conveys sensitivity and is perfectly in tune with the current moment. The architect wanted to bring colors that symbolize peace and cleanliness in the post-pandemic era. Gold, in turn, refers to sunlight, as a source of health and also the rebirth of humanity. The living room is a temple of contemplation and renewal for all who inhabit it.
11- Paulo Azevedo - Apartment Living Room
A living room that is anything but basic and surprising from start to finish was the idea of Paulo Azevedo, who designed the Living Room for the CASACOR Apartment. The space was inspired by the
luxurious art deco properties that were popular in major cities between the 1930s and 1940s. The room was designed for a man who values elegance and comfort, providing a space for socializing, as well as reflection and work. Although the style is quite traditional, Paulo Azevedo opted for earthy tones and natural fibers, which are true trends, to bring a more contemporary touch to the space.
12- Pedro Luiz de Marqui - Freedom Studio
The living room at
Estúdio Liberdade was undoubtedly memorable, a space that is hard to miss. After all, it is not just anyone who can combine elements that bring joy, extravagance and, as a bonus, an affective and emotional reflection. The use of natural materials and strong colors mark the space designed by
Pedro de Marqui .
13- Andrezza Alencar - Studio Raiz
Neutral colors and coziness are trademarks of Studio Raiz, a space designed by Andrezza Alencar. The living room is the main space, which integrates the other spaces and invites people to enjoy a space in a more welcoming way. Despite being intimate, the professional took care to ensure that the space was fluid and well-ventilated.
14- Alexandre Gedeon and Hugo Schwartz - Collector's Loft
Works of art were the starting point for the professionals at
InTown Arquitetura to create this living room, which highlighted the colors and created surprising contrasts between the paintings and the furniture chosen to compose the space. The duo highlighted the works of Thiago Haidar, Manoela Monteiro, Rizza and Susanne Schirato and the careful curation of national design pieces to create a space that is pure inspiration.
15- Studio Roca - Aegis House
If freshness and good circulation have become even greater needs after the pandemic, this is a theme that could not be left unexplored at CASACOR, and
Studio Roca has taken care to bring this practice to the reality of
Casa Égide . The living room has few elements, and has large openings that allow light and air to enter, bringing more life, protection and breathability to the space.
