Juliana Pippi's Toki Room receives the TILE Brazil International Award
The architect Juliana Pippi from Santa Catarina is one of the winners of the 10th edition of the TILE Brasil International Award - Ceramic Project. The professional's space for CASACOR São Paulo 2018 , the TOKI Room , was chosen as the gold project in the Scenarios category. In the 40 m² TOKI Room , the professional brings her conception of past, present and future, in a calm and cozy atmosphere, where blue is striking and soft. The furniture was created especially for the environment, such as the loom rug. designed by the architect, in addition to Slow Design in the delicate work of Inês Schertel. The bookcase takes advantage of the height of the ceiling, without taking away its lightness. The shades of rosé bring a cozy atmosphere, while the blue highlights the volume of the sofa.
In this dreamlike atmosphere, Juliana translates all her inspiration into the choice of art, design and furniture, which are mostly handmade or very personal. The walls, for example, are in harmony with the composition of the signed ceramics. by artist Hideko Honma, the areas of raw canvas, and the encapsulations with very thin canvases in an almost rice paper performance, selling the idea of floating from the sepia-toned floor to the slightly pinkish, stoned oak ceiling, from where hangs a stunning sculpture by artist Clara Fernandes. The award-winning projects will be published in the TILE Brasil magazine, which circulates at Cersaie, Italy, publicizing the work of Brazilian professionals at the largest ceramics fair in the world.
