Restoration of the Ipiranga Museum is completed after two years

Although the work has been completed, there is still a long way to go before the Museum reopens, which is scheduled for September 7th , on the bicentenary of Independence. The next steps consist of assembling the permanent exhibitions, including modernization equipment, including multisensory equipment – an innovative proposal announced by the museum in November last year . The investment to complete the work (including the new permanent exhibitions ) was around R$211 million, coming from sponsorships and the Rouanet Law. In addition to the museum, the outdoor area will feature a café, a French garden and a new hall to house temporary exhibitions.
