The 29th edition of the Deca Award is now open for entries and brings new features that follow the current discussions in architecture and design. This year, the traditional award will honor the winners of the Professionals group with an international experience in London, a city recognized for its creative and architectural strength, with an exclusive immersion at the renowned Zaha Hadid Architects firm.

Entries are open until June 22 and can be made through the DEXperience platform, the brand's relationship program aimed at architects, interior designers, and specifiers.

Over 29 editions, the award has established itself as an important showcase for new talents and professionals already recognized in the market, also following the transformations in the way of thinking about living spaces. More than highlighting projects, the award reflects behavioral changes, new daily demands, and different ways of integrating well-being, functionality, and aesthetics.

Among the highlights of the 2026 edition is the creation of the Sustainable Architecture Highlight category, aimed at projects, works, or professionals that have environmental responsibility and positive impact as a central axis of action. The proposal broadens the debate on more conscious solutions within contemporary architecture.

In the Professionals group, participants will be able to enter projects in categories such as Kitchen for Entertaining (Residential), Wellness Retreat (Residential), Design to See and Live, and Living Projects. The Students, on the other hand, compete in categories developed in 3D projects, focused on experimentation and authorial expression.

The relationship between design and innovation also appears in the Design to See and Live category, dedicated to product design. One of the recent examples of this connection is the Oceano Basin, inspired by a winning project of the award itself and recognized at Expo Revestir 2025 with the Best in Show.

Another front reinforced in this edition is the integration between different solutions for contemporary living. The Portinari and Duratex brands continue as supporters of the initiative, especially in the Living Projects category, which accepts virtual projects and proposes the joint use of products from the three brands in projects aimed at the kitchen space.

In addition to the experience in London, the winners of the Professionals group will have other visibility opportunities. The winner of the Living Projects category will sign an exclusive space at Casa Dexco in 2027. The winning students will receive a voucher of R$ 20,000 and will participate in guided tours of Casa Dexco and the brand's factories.

The jury of this edition will once again be chaired by Ricardo Bello Dias and will feature names such as Allex Colontonio, Paula Neder, Lourenço Gimenes, in addition to the return of Lívia Pedreira, President of the CASACOR Curatorial Board, and Tuca Reinés. The composition reinforces the plural and multidisciplinary perspective that accompanies the award's trajectory.

According to Marina Crocomo, Marketing and Design Director at Dexco, the new sustainable category reflects discussions that are now at the center of Brazilian architecture and design. For her, the longevity of the award also shows its ability to follow different repertoires and ways of thinking about contemporary living.
