Among
CASACOR 's returns in 2021, there is also the return of the
CASACOR Rio Grande do Sul Award , an event that elects the main environments of the edition based on the decision of a specialized jury. The exhibition, held at the former Santo Antônio Children's Hospital in Porto Alegre, will be on display
until November 7th . There are
34 indoor and outdoor spaces divided into an area of
6 thousand m² of construction that reveal the latest in architecture, decoration, design and art from the perspective of
50 already established professionals and young talents in the market.
The works will be recognized in
four categories : Best Environment Award, Public Highlight Award - Popular Jury, Best Public Use Space Award and Newcomer Award.
Five other highlights will also receive mentions: Highlight in Biophilic Design, Highlight in Design and Art, Environment to Enjoy with Family, Environment to Enjoy Alone, Highlight in Use of Colors and Highlight in Use of Covering. The winner of the main category of Best Environment will be awarded a trip to Curaçao, offered by Costaneira. The award will be decided by a specialized jury, professionals from the segment and by
the vote of visitors through a totem installed at the end of the exhibition route .
Architect and craftsman
Bruno De Lazzari is responsible for creating the trophy that will be awarded to the main categories. The exclusive piece was inspired by the theme of the exhibition, “
The Original House ”, which proposes a series of reflections, above all due to the evident desire to return to the origins, to seek in ancestry and simplicity the necessary balance between the past and the future. The trophy is a
sculpture made of wood and resin marble . "The
pencil tip represented on the trophy celebrates the creativity of the winning projects. The theme of 'The Original House' is reflected in this
deconstruction of the processes of representation and conception , which are sometimes traditional with the pencil or technological like the construction of the house itself. piece, designed and machined using 3D technology", highlights the artist.
