06/09 - In addition to being one of the most recognized Brazilian painters, Candido Portinari was also a poet. The lyrics of his poetry were the starting point for architect Juliana Medeiros to create the Nuances da Natureza collection for Portinari. Inspired by nature, the line includes the coverings Areias Decor, Areias do Mar, Areias Calmas and Folhas ao Vento (photo), in addition to the Natureza Imaginária wallpaper, a big new feature from Portinari this year. 07/09 - Solarium adds the signatures of Arthur Casas, Rodrigo Ohtake and Vivian Coser for Revestir 2020. Casas is responsible for the Braille line, which plays with geometric designs on concrete blocks (photo). Ohtake's cobogó features the same curve in two sizes, with a simple and bold line for the Arco line. Coser brings the Morris line, inspired by the striking curves in Carlo Scarpa's clean architecture. In addition to designer pieces, the brand also offers a line of flooring created in-house. The pieces can be installed on floors and walls and pay homage to nature and Brazilian culture. Their names reflect this: Amazonas, Delirio, Iemanja, Samba, Selva (pictured) and Urbano. (Divulgação)
09/09 - Portinari's Geographic collection was born from a geographical phenomenon – the union of slate and cardoso rocks, extracted from different sides of the same mountain range. The movement of the design and white veins in the pieces are striking. The collection includes two accessories, the delicate pieces in the shape of a chevron and small fillets. (Divulgação)
