5 NGOs and institutions for you to contribute to this Christmas

From basic food baskets, toys to personal hygiene items, we have listed institutions for you to "do good without looking at who" this year-end

With Christmas approaching, the mobilization of several NGOs and institutions is beginning to intensify more and more in streets and cities throughout Brazil for the distribution of basic food baskets, toys and personal hygiene items. If "doing good regardless of who" is part of your Christmas spirit, below we have listed 5 institutions for you to get to know and contribute to this Christmas – and also throughout the next year.

1. Farming


Fazendinhando is an institute for territorial, cultural and socio-environmental transformation that works in favelas, made by and for the residents. Through the FazendoLar project, the NGO renovates public spaces and homes in Jardim Colombo , a neighborhood located in the Paraisópolis complex, in São Paulo. The organization has the support of CASACOR which, among other actions, donates construction materials from past exhibitions to the community.

2. Build


The Gaia Project is an institution that seeks to bring dignity to those in vulnerable situations through donations of clothes, food, toys, hygiene and cleaning items, in addition to providing and stimulating education, culture and social development through the missions of various programs that the institution presents.

4. Make-A-Wish Brazil


Make-A-Wish® International is one of the most well-known and respected child support organizations in the world. Operating in Brazil since 2008, the NGO seeks to make dreams come true for children facing serious illnesses throughout the country , together with medical teams, volunteers, donors and sponsors.

5. TPM Project!


Launched during the pandemic, the TPM! Project aims to donate basic hygiene kits to homeless women who suffer from so-called menstrual poverty – that is, the lack of hygienic items that guarantee the dignity of those who menstruate.
