Clarification note
CASACOR São Paulo reinforces that it repudiates any discriminatory act and that it provides training to its employees, as well as its outsourced workers, always emphasizing internal protocols of conduct and responsibility in dealing with its visitors. Regarding the incident reported by visitor Nathália Blagevitch Fernandez during her visit this Saturday, October 23, CASACOR informs that the building where the exhibition is taking place, at Allianz Parque, underwent scheduled preventive maintenance activities in the substations, to ensure maximum quality and safety in the energy supply. During the exhibition activities, a force majeure situation occurred and the energy supply had to be interrupted for a few hours, directly impacting the elevators that provide access to the exhibition and all floors of the parking lot. The procedure adopted by CASACOR was to notify all visitors about the problem, offering a refund or rescheduling the visit for other dates and times. To accommodate and serve visitors who could not return and would like to continue with the visit even with the limitation of the use of access elevators, the organization offered, as an exception, access via the freight elevator, the only equipment not affected by the power outage. Visitors who chose to continue with the tour were directed to the elevator and monitored by the exhibition's security chief until they reached the rooftop (seventh floor, where the internal CASACOR circuit begins). Access to the sixth floor (where the tour continues and ends) would be via the stairs, which are part of the itinerary and where visitors could continue with the complete visit.
From that moment on, the CASACOR team reinforced to the visitor that she could request a refund or reschedule the visit. Upon arriving on the ground floor, Nathália went to the ticket office, as instructed by the team, to be explained how the credit card company would refund the ticket price. At that moment, the visitor informed her that the police would be called due to the accessibility issue. The CASACOR team accompanied Nathália during the call from the Military Police and asked her to wait for the police car to arrive at a location of her choice. After the call, the visitor decided to leave, and was accompanied by the fire brigade team all the way to the exit of the exhibition, which was made through a tunnel (art installation). The team offered to accompany her to her car (parked in a neighboring shopping mall), which the visitor refused. CASACOR reinforces that at no time was the visitor expelled from the site, as stated in a report on the case, and that her entire visit was accompanied by the organization and fire brigade team, a standard procedure adopted in all visits by people with disabilities. The exhibition also reports that it is in direct contact with Nathália to investigate the alleged misconduct by a member of the organization, so that appropriate administrative measures can be taken. Nathália's entire visit was recorded by the site's security cameras and is available for full investigation of the case. With the elevators operating normally, CASACOR São Paulo is a 100% accessible exhibition, a procedure adopted since 2016. The event is fully prepared to welcome not only people with disabilities, but also the elderly and families with small children who access the areas with strollers. The exhibition has access ramps in all areas; two electric motorcycles and two wheelchairs are available at the reception for visitors; 3 exclusive elevators for access to the exhibition; 3 exclusive elevators for access to the parking lot; 1 elevator for PcD on the sixth floor, for access to the circuit floors. There are also four bathrooms, all unisex and with exclusive and equipped cabins for PcD, distributed throughout all floors of the circuit. The entire CASACOR team is trained and guided to meet any need of visitors, in all situations, always valuing the pillars of sustainability, accessibility and inclusion. Yours sincerely, CASACOR Sao Paulo Team
