Haruyoshi Ono, architect and landscaper, died last Sunday (22/01). Born in Rio de Janeiro, the son of Japanese parents, Haruyoshi Ono was a partner for over 30 years of the most important Brazilian landscaper, Roberto Burle Marx. Since the master's death, In 1994, he took on the role of continuing his work, always remaining at the forefront of the Burle Marx Landscaping Office. To pay tribute to the professional, CASACOR Rio de Janeiro is recovering images of the project carried out for the Rio exhibition in 2009.

Haruyoshi Ono joined Burle Marx's office as an intern in 1965. He became a partner in 1968, after completing his degree in Architecture at the former National Faculty of Architecture of the University of Brazil, now the Faculty of Architecture and Urbanism of the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ).
His children Isabela Ono and Julio Ono, his wife, architect Fatima Gomes and his partner Gustavo Leivas, who worked with him for over 20 years, remain in charge of the projects and the landscape collection, continuing his legacy.
