Inspired by the plurality, beauty and complexity, as well as all the poetics of Brazilian women, artist Joana Lira launches, in partnership with Tok&Stok, her newest collection, entitled “Mulher Pássaro” (Bird Woman), a true tribute to female power and her art of reinvention. Arriving at the brand's stores and e-commerce on September 14, the collaboration features objects from the bed, kitchen, table and decorative pieces lines, in addition to bringing an autobiographical bias of the illustrator. “All the image-poems that make up this collection were created in ink and paintbrush , in a sketchbook, during my period of seclusion during the pandemic. And they were born with the urgency of regenerative art , with a more hopeful outlook. A representation of the strength of Brazilian women ,” says Joana Lira.
The pieces in the collaboration feature illustrations of diverse women, accompanied by elements that are sometimes abstract and sometimes figurative, with vibrant tones and organic, curved shapes that, in a fun game of fitting together, give rise to unique prints and patterns . The compositions are present in objects such as glasses, mugs, aprons, plates, placemats, napkins and dishcloths, as well as pieces such as cushions, decorative wall plates, scented candles, bookends, among others. The collaboration features items from the bed, kitchen, table and decorative items lines, as well as an autobiographical take on the illustrator. Check out artist Joana Lira 's home.
