In 2023, SP–Arte will open its permanent space for holding exhibitions and events related to the visual arts in São Paulo, Casa SP–Arte . The space will occupy one of the residences designed by artist and architect Flávio de Carvalho (1899-1973) for the Vila Modernista, in Jardins. The house is the only one of the 17 that has been completely restored to its original version. The house will open its program with a solo exhibition by Hélio Oiticica (1937-1980). Among the selected works, the first Penetrável , designed by the artist in 1961 as a tribute to Mário Pedrosa in his experimental exercise of freedom, will be open to the public, maintaining its formal and experiential genesis.
