Troll Chair - Anastasia Nysten. Born in Canada, Anastasia grew up in three different countries: Finland, France and Lebanon. The latter was the country she chose to study for her degree. With a degree in Industrial Design, she created her own studio in 2015. Her multicultural background can be seen in her furniture and interior design.

Libellule - Studio Caramel. Founded by college friends Karl Churcri and Rami Boushdid, Studio Caramel was founded in 2016. Their experience in architecture offices has influenced their work in furniture design. Their pieces are always created from a specific context.

Mar Mikhayel - Carlo Massoud. After graduating in Lebanon, Carlo Massoud moved to New York to work alongside Nasser Nakib. He began his solo career in 2014 with the project Dolls at Carwan Gallery. His work features functional design and artistic installations, often carrying social and economic critiques.

Kamal's Couch - Marc Dibeh. After graduating in architecture in Paris, Marc returned to Beirut to complete his master's degree in product design. Before opening his own studio in 2009, he worked alongside Marc Baroud. To this day, the designers work together on several projects. The studio's philosophy is to base its work primarily on collaboration, whether with designers or not.

Impermanence - Paola Sakr. Graduated in 2016, Paola Sakr is a young designer who expresses her passion for photography and art in her work. This multidisciplinary approach allows her to increasingly explore her taste for innovation and curiosity. Her works are short stories from different times, such as the vase series.

The Rising Talents Awards , promoted by Masion & Obje t , will be held again from September 7 to 11, 2018, at the Parc des Expositions – Paris Nord Villepinte. Known as one of the world's largest design events, it allows young talents to showcase their work to professionals from all over the world. After the UK and Italy showcased their talents, it is now Lebanon’s turn to showcase the best of its design. With the support of Rabih Kayrouz, a Lebanese fashion designer, Maison & Objet is highlighting the growing creative scene in the Middle Eastern country. The work presented by the Lebanese professionals will also be on display at Paris Design Week , from September 6 to 15, at Gallery S. Bensimon. This year, seven members – who all contribute to the Lebanese design scene in one way or another – were chosen to compose the jury. They are: Aline Asmar D'Amman, Hala Mubarak, Joy Mardini, Marc Baroud, Cherine Magrabi, Maria Ziadeh and Nadine Fares Kahil. The six designers chosen to represent Lebanese design were: Carlo Massou, Marc Dibeh, Carla Baz, Anastasia Nysten, Caramel Studio and Paola Sakr.
