12 innovative launches from Expo Revestir 2024
Last week, between March 19 and 21, Expo Revestir took place in São Paulo, considered the largest finishing and coatings fair in Latin America. The brands in the sector are investing in innovation with the aim of guaranteeing attractive products for a market that has remained buoyant over the last few years. There were over 300 exhibitors from the ceramics, sanitary ware, metals, ornamental rocks, mosaics, wood, laminates, cement, glass, machinery, accessories and other coverings segments. Among so many launches, we prepared a careful selection with the crème de la crème of the new products that will soon be arriving in stores. The concern with design is the common point among them. Check it out!

Deca's new line of accessible products , Deca Care , combines aesthetics and functionality, with pieces that comply with the Brazilian Accessibility Standard. With a design developed by architects Mariana Quinelato and Flavia Ranieri, specialists in inclusive architecture, in partnership with Deca, the new product brings a new look to products that increase mobility and offer greater safety to the user. Versatile, the vertical grab bars – 70 cm and 40 cm – with hangers in their structure, and the horizontal ones – in the sizes 80 cm, 70 cm, 40 cm and 24 cm – also function as storage and shelves. They can be used in different decoration proposals, which go far beyond their use in bathrooms . In this way, they can transform environments such as living rooms, kitchens and bedrooms into increasingly welcoming and accessible spaces for people of different ages or needs in terms of mobility and uses.

Italian Days, by Ceusa

Italian Days, by Ceusa

Ceusa 's inspiration for the new collections came from the mix of colors , prints, accessories and neutral tones to express style. With creativity as a guide, the brand proposes lines with bases and special pieces combined to create unique decorations, bringing the power of styling as an ally when it comes to dressing the home. One of the highlights is the Italian Days collection, created in partnership with Traudi Guida , the creative mind behind the fashion label SOUQ — a brand known for straying from the obvious in the curation it offers of clothes, objects and decoration products sourced from around the world. It was on a trip to Sicily that Traudi fell in love with the historic tiles, hand-painted in geometric patterns – a legacy of the Arab influence on the ceramics of the Italian island – and decided to translate them into a collection full of history, but with a contemporary feel. The collection consists of five decorated models and two neutral ones, which can be combined in infinite ways, creating patterns that are sometimes more striking, sometimes more discreet.

This year, Durafloor introduced the Hamburgo laminate flooring from the Unique Line to its portfolio, inspired by natural oak. With more defined veins, it is versatile and looks similar to warm-toned wood, and is an option for those looking for a cozy atmosphere in high-traffic spaces. It can cover up to 90 m² without the need for expansion joints or finishing on doors.
Made from HDF (High Density Fiberboard) from reforested wood, it features Protekto Plus technology, a feature that makes the flooring more protected from viruses and bacteria for a longer period. Tested and approved in the laboratory, it offers immediate effectiveness with 99% viral inactivation in the first minute. The flooring is protected against termites and easy to clean with a damp cloth. The line is part of Durafloor's Ultra Laminate portfolio, which guarantees greater water resistance , with up to 24 hours of protection and without the need for additional treatments or application of materials such as silicone. The protection is incorporated directly into the product's substrate, which provides greater peace of mind in the event of minor unforeseen events such as an open window on a rainy day, for example. Portinari presented the Hana collection at Expo Revestir, the result of the brand's collaboration with landscaper Alex Hanazaki . This partnership began at CASACOR in 2023. “Both Portinari and I have a quest to talk about connection with nature. This quest converged and transformed into the Hana collection, which expresses our poetry, where nature merges with human traits in the art of interweaving,” explains the professional. The products consist of hollow architectural concrete elements and are available in four colors (OFW, GR, DGR and BW), in the 10 x 40 x 10 cm format, as well as two pieces, Hana DGR and Hana GR, in the 14.1 x 117 cm format. (Ruy Teixeira/CASACOR)

Master Ruy Ohtake 's partnership with Roca was continued by the architect's son, Rodrigo Ohtake , who designed two new countertop sink models for the brand — one oval and the other round. Inspiration continues to come from nature to shape pieces with fluid and organic lines. Ricardo took the contours of the calla lily flower, marked by simplicity, delicacy and perfection, as a reference, in addition to his father's architectural legacy.
Available in Matte Black, Stone, Coffee, Beige, Matte White and Glossy White, the new sinks from the Ohtake collection represent the fusion of tradition and innovation . The pieces were presented as timeless works of art that transcend their practical everyday usefulness to become an expression of beauty and elegance in bathrooms and lavatories. The products won the Best in Show award in the best sink category.
