Symbol of contemporary architecture and sustainable tourism, the Bioparque Pantanal — the largest freshwater aquarium in the world — will be the setting for the long-awaited launch of CASACOR Mato Grosso do Sul. Designed by the unforgettable architect Ruy Ohtake, the work was inaugurated in March 2022, four months after his passing, and is already considered a landmark in the architectural landscape of Campo Grande. With futuristic lines and curved shapes reminiscent of a spaceship landed in the heart of the Pantanal, Ohtake's project houses much more than native species of fish, snakes, and plants. Inside this "spaceship,' rests the future: a space where nature, art, science, and technology meet. Among the projects of the Bioparque, there is also a library that honors the greatest poet from Mato Grosso do Sul of all time: Manoel de Barros. A declared admirer of the poet, Ohtake visited Manoel a few days before his death in 2014, seeking inspiration for the project. From this sensitive exchange, commitments were born: to include in the work objects that would immortalize the memory of the poet and to make architecture a shelter for poetry as well. And it is in this setting where nature meets art, and memory transforms into inspiration, that CASACOR MS inaugurates a new chapter. By choosing the Bioparque Pantanal as its stage, the event reaffirms its commitment to valuing the territory, culture, and architecture with purpose. Ruy Ohtake's work, alive in every curve, becomes a symbol of a time that honors the past, embraces the present, and points toward the future — with water, poetry, innovation, and belonging. This new phase of CASACOR Mato Grosso do Sul also marks the arrival of new franchised partners, a group of cultural producers with a long history in organizing events in Mato Grosso do Sul. The team is formed by the former president of the Mato Grosso do Sul Culture Foundation and promoter of major shows in Campo Grande, Gustavo Castelo, known as Cegonha; the entrepreneur in the Gastronomy sector and columnist, Ely Oliveira Semmelroth, who represents the region of Dourados. Also part of the new leadership are the producer Karla Viegas, focused on audiovisual work, and Ricardo Câmara, artistic director of Casa-Quintal Manoel de Barros. They take on the mission of strengthening the brand's presence in the state, imprinting a curation more connected with the territory, the contemporary market, and the local creative force. The responsibility for the masterplan of the exhibition falls on the interior designer Daiana Capuci, who will bring a sensitive and strategic perspective to the occupation of the space and the fluidity of the visitor experience. In addition to the masterplan, Daiana is responsible for all brand curation. The production, public relations, and communication of the exhibition are under the direction of Bia Figueiredo, a branding specialist and creator of high-standard experiences, who authors the narrative of this new edition with a curatorial gaze and a deep connection to the territory. The launch will take place on April 15, 2025, at 9:30 a.m., in a private meeting for invited guests.
