To an attentive audience, Pedro Ariel Santana spoke about the trends that permeate this year's CASACOR theme, “De presente, o agora”. He discussed the references that led to the construction of the theme, such as the installations and environments presented at the Venice Biennale last year, such as those by Francis Kéré and Ayrson Heráclito, and the book by Ailton Krenak, “Ideas to Postpone the End of the World”. “
Our work cannot be dissociated from the world and the transformations that are happening ,” observed Pedro Ariel Santana. “The theme is an opportunity for us to reflect on the future we want to leave for the next generations and for the planet. We need to value our roots, our ancestry and reflect on what ancestors we want to be?”, adds the CASACOR curator.
