In Jardim Colombo, a playground was set up using donations from partners

Fazendinhando raises donations to build a playground for the children of Jardim Colombo to have fun

With the voluntary collaboration of residents and partners, the Fazendinhando institute, located in Jardim Colombo, in the West Zone of São Paulo, has already managed to remove around 120 trucks of rubble from the land, build bleacher walls, hold workshops to collect ideas for the park and a series of activities aimed at the proper appropriation of the local residents , in order to give meaning to the physical transformations carried out.

With 5,000 families and no public space for their own use, Fazendinha is a 1,000 m² municipal plot of land that has been abandoned and used as a landfill for 15 years . In order to transform it into a community space , the Fazendinhando Institute began a mobilization at the end of 2015. of 2017.

Having a play space directly influences children's quality of life. This space is important because it allows for much more than entertainment and fun; games are opportunities for emotional, social and cognitive development.

The entire Fazendinha space project was co-created with the community at an event held in 2018, the 1st Fazendinhando Festival . The play space appeared in the vast majority of drawings made by the children when designing the place.

The playground project, installed by Marcenaria Buriti , was possible through the collaboration of private institutions, such as CASACOR , Perkins&Will, Tintas Coral, Setin Incorporadora and MChecon; and individuals, such as the students of Colégio Santo Américo, who through a crowdfunding raised more than R$5,000.00.
