Exhibited in São Paulo between October and December 2020, the Janelas CASACOR project had as one of its main pillars the integration with the city through the installation of containers in central and peripheral neighborhoods of the capital. With this format also came the challenge of to create an exhibition that highlighted the particularities of local communities . In response to requests from residents, a functional community kitchen was delivered, where courses and activities focused on this area will be developed.
The first action using the space took place this Wednesday (31/03) and will continue until Sunday (04/04), with an Easter campaign organized by the Jardim Tiro ao Pombo Community Association, which will produce around 600 eggs. chocolate for the families of the neighborhood . The community kitchen, which was delivered by CASACOR fully equipped for use, will be one of the main points of the production line, formed by 8 volunteers. With the pandemic still going on, this is our first chance to really use the space for the good of the families in the neighborhood.” ”, explains Marcos Fernandes Monteiro Júnior, better known as Diego do Tiro ao Pombo, one of the community leaders responsible for the action. The creation of a functional community kitchen in Brasilândia can only be achieved with the support of the following companies: Deca, Tintas Coral, LG do Brasil, Florense, Cerâmica Portinari, Gaya, AGC Vidros, Casa Mansur Vidros and also Kontainers and Expo Construção.
