Tuesday night was a celebration of design at
CASACOR Rio. A lecture by
Jader Almeida brought together around
430 people, including architects, designers, and suppliers at the Fashion Mall Theater. Alongside architects
Bel Lobo and
Gisele Taranto and journalist
Lucia Gurovitz, who moderated the discussion panel, the designer shared a bit about his journey over
20 years of career and his two-decade partnership with
Arquivo Contemporâneo, the store that has exclusivity of his pieces in Rio de Janeiro.
"Jader is a designer who is not only creative and talented but also bold. It was a pleasure to bring this project to CASACOR Rio," said
Patricia Quentel while presenting the roundtable alongside João Caetano from Arquivo Contemporâneo.

The event also served for Jader to speak personally to the Cariocas about the
work EM TORNO, a cylindrical installation occupying three floors of the Fashion Mall, presenting a
synthesis of his vast production. Different layers reveal themselves on its surface: emblematic products, textures, colors, materials, and fragments of projects.
"We wanted to create something that had a dialogue with the space where it is exhibited, and the cylinder proved to be the best solution. Each of the niches tells a small story, but when viewed as a whole, they create a
narrative that allows each one to create their own interpretation," Jader explained.

The installation is part of
CASACOR Rio, which occupies the Fashion Mall until October 26 with
43 projects including studios, lofts, an apartment, as well as gardens and a lively entertainment area with bars, restaurant, and café.
