Using creativity to bring personality to an interior design project is already a tradition at CASACOR exhibitions. In this edition of CASACOR Rio de Janeiro 2024 , the walls were the target of the architects' inventiveness, who played with textures, materials and shapes to design impressive environments . Check it out!

1. Rammed earth wall

With few materials, the main characteristic of Espaço Taipa , by Leandro Neves, is sustainability . In addition to the furniture and works of art , which are derived from non-industrial materials and processes, the space features a wall covered in earth. “In history, mud walls were synonymous with low status. In our space, it has a strong appeal and appears as a reinterpretation of what luxury is,” says Leandro. Leandro Neves - Casa Taipa. Projeto da CASACOR Rio de Janeiro 2024.

2. Composition of tapestries

The decor of the Perto do Mar loft , by Mauricio Nóbrega Arquitetura, incorporated a hi-lo aesthetic with tapestries from Galeria Hathi, made from natural fibers such as jute and wool. The tapestries are also hung on the wall and arranged around the sofa. This composition idea also harmonizes with the choice of golden peroba for the wall covering and with the artisanal pistachio-colored ceramics in the kitchen and bathroom , as Maurício explains: "This mix was essential to bring sophistication and personality to the loft." 3. Arch shape and trusses

Along with the charming checkered floor, an arched wall and a lattice covering make up Casa Darya, by Beta Arquitetura. The idea for the wall was to bring a vintage aspect to the decor . “It is a space with a lot of style in its identity, thanks to the composition of textures, colors, materials, aroma, landscaping, crafts and works of art”, say the architects of the office.
