Guto Requena signs the scenography for SPFW – N47
CASACOR architect and designer Guto Requena is responsible for the décor of the next São Paulo Fashion Week – N47 – which will take place from April 22nd to 27th. The professional, known for combining technology, design and architecture in his projects, presents a scenography which focuses on empathy as a primary concept. The event's general theme is utopia. Based on this idea, Guto Requena presents a large plaza for socializing between the two parade arenas. The furniture, inspired by urban design, has six pieces, each representing one of the letters of the word UTOPIA. , were produced with reforested wood and are lit from the inside.
All furniture items have an interaction that is activated through collective actions, such as the act of sitting together. The idea is to bring people together, stimulate empathy and exchange, based on the principle that they have to sit close together. Among Among the interactive pieces we can find a bench, a bar, a piece of furniture that invites you to watch the programming on the big screens, a small garden and also seesaws. During SPFW N47, the Estufa project will also take place, an initiative of the event that aims to create a platform to reveal and present new ways of creating, distributing and producing. The objective of the actions is to provoke dialogues and reflections, inspire and influence behaviors. Within these criteria, the project receives a masterclass with Guto Requena , which brings a reflection on memory, culture and poetic narratives, related to the different scales of design, from objects to cities.
