With the coronavirus pandemic, people have swapped restaurants for home cooking and are increasingly venturing out to try out recipes on their own. It’s no wonder that Janelas ’ various projects CASACOR, São Paulo edition were or incorporated kitchens into the windows of the new home. When designing such a functional room, it is necessary to choose materials that meet the practical needs of the occupant, but that do not neglect the aesthetics of the decoration. In the eight containers in which it is presented, Cosentino offers covering solutions in large formats that bring with them both elegance and practicality. The versatility of the panels also applies to the container assembly process, as professionals were able to cover and bring life to walls and countertops in a short time, very efficiently. João Armentano and Brunete Fraccaroli opted for a cleaner look in the kitchens of their spaces. In Pra que mais? , designed by Armentano, the Dekton Laos slabs, from the Industrial Collection line , interact with the other black elements present and create a continuous and graceful, perfect setting for the memorial objects housed there. Named Simplicity , Brunete's space has a futuristic and conceptual feel. Therefore, the kitchen countertop - which is integrated into the living room - needed to blend in with the surroundings to maintain the proposed visual asepsis. Silestone, from the Eternal Calacatta Gold line , fit the bill. perfectly in the project. It stands out for its clear appearance, punctuated by blue, gray and gold veins, which give it a timeless elegance.

Adapted to the reality of the pandemic, the space has a washbasin and also a television, so that occupants can connect with family and friends. To compose In the kitchen, one of the highlights of the project, the professional used Silestone Eternal Marfil , which has light orange veins on a beige background. Warm and minimalist, Et Marfil is a new reinterpretation of Crema Marfil marble, a neutral color that conveys naturalness and serenity to any space.

Those who believe that Cosentino coverings are only for kitchens are mistaken. The practicality of large formats and the beauty of lines are very welcome in other rooms. At Estúdio R2M , Roberto Migotto and Rick Minelli apply dark marble slabs with light stripes , from Dekton Kelya , in your living room, to create a small shelf bench that houses books, works of art, a coffee machine and a washbasin. Rio de Janeiro architects Alexandre Gedeon and Hugo Schwartz, from InTown, used Dekton Kreta panels from the Industrial Collection line as wall coverings. The large format was especially useful in the project because it was a container that was part of the CASACOR Window Challenge. - in which the environments must be assembled in just 4 days. Called Pé na Areia , the space mixes the reality of home and work, also bringing together the industrial look of the coating that resembles concrete with wooden elements.

One of the great new features of Janelas CASACOR is its inclusiveness. In addition to being completely free, the project includes containers that will be donated to the city, remaining as cultural and social points. Located in the North Zone of São Paulo, the Healthy Eating Community Kitchen Sacolão Freguesia do Oh, it's one of those environments. The space was designed by FAU+D Acolhe, an extension program of the Schools of Architecture and Urbanism and Design of the Universidade Presbiteriana Mackenzie, with architect Rodrigo Mindlin Loeb. Classes, lectures and other activities focused on nutrition and good culinary practices will take place there. To compose the central island, facing the external area, Sensa Orinoco was chosen, a wild granite that has veins of white, gold and copper that form waves on the intense background, adding personality to an environment whose purpose is presentation and teaching. .
