In 2025,
CASACOR and the
Vanzolini Foundation reaffirm their commitment to
enhancing the dialogue between architecture, sustainability, and innovation in the construction industry by holding a series of lectures in the project Entre Sonhos, designed by Lui Costa, within the official circuit of the 38th edition of the exhibition. The partnership invites visitors and professionals to reflect on
real and applicable solutions in the interaction between sophistication and environmental awareness, stimulating interventions with environmental responsibility. Check out the lecture schedule below:
Sustainable Construction in Focus: the view of AQUA-HQE™ and CASACOR on environmental impact
When: June 5th, from 9 AM to 12 PM
Target audience: closed event for 60 exclusive guests from AQUA-HQE™ and CASACOR The AQUA-HQE™ certification, developed from the French reference HQE™, aims to promote harmonious coexistence among people in healthy and comfortable constructed projects, with a reduction of environmental impacts. This lecture inaugurates the program on World Environment Day, connecting the technical experience of the Vanzolini Foundation with CASACOR's practices, focusing on waste management in large temporary events.
Program: ● 9 AM to 10 AM – Welcome breakfast ● 10 AM – Opening by Vanzolini Foundation and CASACOR ● 10:20 AM – Luiz Henrique Ferreira (Inovatech Engineering): CASACOR waste management ● 10:40 AM – Darlan Firmato (CASACOR): CASACOR waste management case study ● 11:10 AM – Manuel Carlos Reis Martins (Vanzolini Foundation): AQUA-HQE™ presentation ● 11:20 AM – Ana Rocha (proActive Consultoria): AQUA-HQE™ and practical results ● 12 PM – Closing
(Camila Santos/CASACOR)
EPDs in Focus: Transparency and Sustainability in Architecture and Design
When: June 12th, from 2:30 PM to 4 PM
Target audience: open to invited guests and visitors of the exhibition (registration via CASACOR and Vanzolini Foundation guests) The lecture discusses how architects, designers, and companies can use Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) and Environmental Product Declarations (EPDs) to develop more sustainable projects and make more conscious decisions in choosing materials and building solutions. Innovative resources will be presented, such as the new traceable logo, the interactive digital format, and pre-verified EPD tools, which make sustainability communication more transparent and reliable. Case studies, including analyses applied to CASACOR 2025 projects, illustrate how these tools support the design work and add value for specifiers, companies, and consumers.
Program: ● 2:30 PM – Opening ● 2:40 PM – Felipe Queiroz Coelho (Vanzolini Foundation): The role of Environmental Product Declarations as clear and efficient sustainable communication ● 3:10 PM – João Marcello (Sustentech): Sustainability and Design – The importance of EPDs in the decision-making of architects and designers ● 3:40 PM – Debate [caption id="attachment_197026" align="alignnone" width="1333"]

Energy Efficiency, Emission Reduction, and Architecture as a Protagonist in a Collapsing World
When: June 26th, from 2:30 PM to 4 PM
Target audience: open to invited guests and visitors of the exhibition (registration via CASACOR and Vanzolini Foundation guests). How to reduce the carbon footprint in the construction industry in a practical and efficient way? The first lecture presents experiences and best practices that align environmental performance, spatial quality, and technical feasibility, highlighting the positive impact of conscious decisions and certifications such as AQUA-HQE™. Following this, Rodrigo Loeb proposes a reflection on the role of architecture in a collapsing world. The architect discusses the sector's role in both degradation processes and the construction of sustainable alternatives. The analysis starts from the Anthropocene's benchmark (1610), associating it with the Sixth Mass Extinction, and outlines a panorama of transformations in the dominant model and the signs of a new possible future.
Program: ● 2:30 PM – Opening ● 2:40 PM – Gabriel Bonansea de Alencar Novaes (Vanzolini Foundation): Energy efficiency and emission reduction ● 3:10 PM – Rodrigo Loeb (architect and urban planner): Architecture as a protagonist in a collapsing world ● 3:40 PM – Debate ● 4 PM – Closing by Vanzolini Foundation and CASACOR [caption id="attachment_197990" align="alignnone" width="5208"]
