CASACOR Santa Catarina 2017 , in Florianópolis, promises to be unforgettable for its visitors and has some great surprises in store for the public. This year, the Santa Catarina show will take place in the mansion at Praça Getúlio Vargas, the former São Vicente de Paulo Orphanage of IDES (Irmandade do Divino Espírito Santo). This is a century-old building listed by the municipality, which was previously occupied by IPUF, the Florianópolis Urban Planning Institute. In this property, 28 rooms, from 20 m² to 170 m², will brighten up the spaces of the house, divided into three floors. In addition to the concern with the experience of visitors at the event, CASACOR Santa Catarina assumes a social commitment to the children and adolescents of the IDES (Irmandade do Divino Espírito Santo), founded 244 years ago. After the end of the exhibition, the century-old building will be renovated and will be able to host events, generating income for the entity, and thus strengthening this charitable work that began in 1773, with the founding of the Brotherhood.

IDES maintains, next to the site, the Lar São Vicente de Paulo and the Centro Educacional Infantil Girassol (CEIG), where 417 children and more than 300 young people are currently served in different programs. In its 244 years of activities, more than of 800 children for adoption.
