Weekend at CASACOR Rio: from coffee to drinks, with a touch of design

The Brando Barbosa Residence alone, and the 44 environments created by a cast of architects, interior designers and landscapers, are worth a visit to this 32nd edition of CASACOR Rio . But there is still much more to do there! There are three restaurants offering different food options, two drink bars, a piano bar, a café and shops. A complete trip for the weekend . On Saturday, the best thing to do is reserve a seat in one of our restaurants and start your visit there, as the restaurant opens at noon. Brise , a project by Bitty Talbot and Cecília Teixeira , operates as a Cooking Buffet , and offers main dishes such as Shrimp Risotto and red curry and Haddock in cream with potato mousseline. Another option is Bistrô da Piscina , with a fusion menu by chef Écio Cordeiro de Mello , which serves dishes such as Thai Shrimp with yam puree and shabu shabu (a dish with vegetables, mushrooms and beef in ponzu sauce). Then, just ask for the bill and start visiting the spaces. Take your time! There are many inspiring details in each of the spaces and there is also the entire architecture of the house, which deserves a closer look. In the gardens, there are nine bungalows with different accommodation options. Pure inspiration for those who love redecorating their home. Those who don't give up those little purchases have some very interesting options. Inside the main house, there is the Jewelry Shop , which every two weeks brings jewelry from a different designer occupying the space decorated by Andrea Duarte and Anna Malta . In the garden, there are: Loja da Casa , set by Claudia Infante , with decoration and home items from Santa Cruz Home Bazaar; Optical Illusion , by Fabiano Ravaglia , with glasses from Gustavo Eyewear; and the bookstore, operated by Unisaber , which has books on music, art, national and foreign literature. For those who prefer to start the day a little later, the suggestion is the Terrazzas Restaurant , by Marcela Martins . There, the Cooking Buffet serves quicker delicacies. But, if the idea is to enjoy a late afternoon, there are three great bars: Bar do Jardim Gafisa , by Diego Raposo and Manu Simas , which only serves drinks; Speakeasy , by Tiago Freire , which is inspired by the secret bars of North American Prohibition and serves, in addition to drinks, snacks that can be consumed there or in some of the neighboring rooms; and there is also the Piano-Bar , an environment decorated by Paula Neder , where food from Écio Cordeiro de Mello is served in addition to wines from the Woods Wine Experience. And, those who prefer to leave the tasting to do at home, can still buy the wine in the neighboring environment, Vinoteca , owned by Lucas Barbosa .

Now, if your visit is on a Sunday, it's a good idea to arrive early, as soon as the house opens: at 10am. Go straight to Quintal , a place by Mauricio Nobrega that combines a café and a bookstore, and has several Métiers options for breakfast in the middle of our garden. CASACOR Rio 2023 takes place once again at the Brando Barbosa Residence, which, in this edition, was transformed into a boutique hotel with 44 rooms decorated by some of the most renowned professionals in architecture, interior design and landscaping. The exhibition can be visited until October 15th , from Tuesday to Saturday, from 12pm to 9pm, and Sundays, from 10am to 8pm.
