FGMF is among the winners of the
International Residential Architecture Awards (IRA) 2022. The awards celebrate the best residential projects in the world and among the winners are the
Casa Colina and
Casa Bosque projects by the trio of Brazilian architects. The award is organized annually by
The Architecture Community , an international architecture awards platform, and is in its fourth edition. This year, projects from more than 30 architecture firms across five continents were selected.

“The use of a 'hanging garden' accessible by ramp, which covers the extensive program of the house, makes it a space that is at the same time very integrated with each other and somewhat discreet from the outside view, providing a dynamic of use that comes to meeting the residents’ wishes”, highlights
Fernando Forte , one of the firm’s partners.
Casa Bosque is surrounded by the land's original trees. The incorporation of native vegetation into the architectural design provides a haven and comfort for the house, which also incorporates pieces of national art into its design. These awards are in addition to FGMF's other international achievements in 2022, which also won awards such as the Architizer, Office of the Year category for South and Central America, for its body of work, and the Dedalo Minosse, for the Girassol Building.

“The goal has always been to create contemporary, investigative and innovative architecture, working on all scales and programs, from the details of the residence to the urban plan,” explains architect Lourenço Gimenes. “This plurality and the lack of specialization in a specific type of program helps us define the office’s DNA”, reinforces
Rodrigo Marcondes Ferraz .
