first month of 2024 has already begun, and with it, the cultural calendar of the city of
São Paulo is packed with
exhibitions and fairs to visit and explore! Among the programs this month, highlights include the
60th anniversary of Turma da Mônica at Casa das Rosas, the new
Chaves exhibition at MIS Experience and the textile works of
Melissa Cody at MASP.

1. "Marta Minujín: Live" - Pinacoteca
The exhibition “
Marta Minujín: Live ” is the first panoramic exhibition in Brazil of one of the most important Latin American artists of her generation. On display at the
Pinacoteca de São Paulo , the exhibition brings together more than 100 works by the Argentine
Marta Minujín , who moves between different languages, scales, artistic and social circles.
2. Monica's Gang - House of Roses

Mônica , Mauricio de Sousa Produções, in partnership with
Casa das Rosas, has prepared a complete immersion into the character's history. Until
February 20 , the exhibition, consisting of 12 rooms, will show Mônica's complete trajectory, from her remarkable debut in 1963 until she became a cultural icon.
3. Chaves: The Exhibition - MIS Experience
In honor of the 40th anniversary of the premiere of one of the most beloved TV series in Brazil – and in all of Latin America –, Chaves: The Exhibition (at MIS Experience) is
the largest exhibition about Chaves ever held in the world. There are more than 20 iconic scenes that were part of the lives of millions of viewers! The exhibition will last the entire month and will continue into February. Stay tuned, because tickets are already selling out! 4. Living with robots - Japan House
The exhibition aims to portray particular aspects of the development of Japanese robots, offering the opportunity to reflect on
living with them in a friendly way, as well as how they are incorporated into Japanese daily life.
5. BLOW-UP: a breath of fun - OCA, Ibirapuera Park
BlowUp: A Breath of Fun is a tour that passes through several
gigantic inflatable structures and projections that combine
creativity and
interactivity in a
multisensory environment. The public will be invited to embark and explore an immersive space of more than
10 thousand square meters , organized into
15 thematic modules that present a fantasy, playful and interactive universe. The exhibition will be on display until
February 11, 2024 at OCA, Ibirapuera Park.
6. Melissa Cody: Woven Skies - MASP
Until
January 21, 2024 , MASP hosts the exhibition "
Melissa Cody: woven skies ", which brings together
26 textile works by the North American artist that mix traditional symbols and patterns of Navajo tapestry with personal references, ranging from the pixelated world of computers to the landscapes of Arizona.
7. "Horror in the cinema" - MIS
Until
January 31, 2024 , curated by
André Sturm , MIS presents the exhibition "
Terror in Cinema ", which celebrates an audiovisual genre almost as old as cinema itself. Through an
engaging, impressive and
immersive journey, visitors will be able to revisit and experience iconic moments in the history of the horror genre.
8. METADATA - Fiesp Cultural Center (Paulista Avenue)
"
METADATA - The Invisible World " seeks a dialogue between art and technology, transforming
historical data from the city of São Paulo in
real time , such as traffic patterns, climate fluctuations and market, with historical data sets, revealing the
evolution of the city over time in a creative way.
