With six meetings scheduled between June and August, the Diálogos aim to broaden the debate on contemporary living. The program covers themes ranging from the naturalist aesthetic of landscaping to the role of craftsmanship and popular art in the construction of an affective home, passing through the increasingly porous boundary between art and architecture — and reaching speculation about possible futures of living, at the crossroads between organic intelligence and artificial intelligence. 06/30 - 5:30 pm: The invisible that inhabits us

What exists in a space, beyond what the eyes can reach? Between memory, affection, territory, and ancestrality, this conversation proposes a reflection on the invisible forces that permeate our relationship with the world and with the places we call our own. Because, before we inhabit spaces, we are inhabited by stories, bonds, and knowledge.

07/07 - 5:30 pm: Living heritage

How to bring life and new uses to listed properties? Is there a certain tension between the technical-preservationist view and the future of the historic property? The suggestion is to foster the debate, based on some cases where the private initiative seeks to preserve listed heritage, requalifying and adapting it to new functions, such as Alma Mater, the residential building in Ipiranga, which emerges in the former novitiate of the Salesian sisters. Another example comes from businessman Allan Ruiz. He bought a property in the old downtown, without knowing that it was a historic building, constructed by the Ramos de Azevedo office. The space will be transformed into a cultural center.

An architectural interpretation of the Atlantic Forest landscapes of southeastern Brazil and the identification of the different styles that can be applied in landscaping. A reflection on breaking aesthetic stereotypes in Brazilian landscaping, and on the belief that native flora in gardens has only an ecological function.

Art has always built relationships with the spaces it occupies. Throughout the 20th century, avant-garde artistic movements and contemporary art itself expanded the limits of art and its relationship with everyday life.
