This Sunday, August 23, CASACOR presents on its IGTV , Youtube and Facebook the second chapter of the Mini-Stories series starring Casa Pausa. Architect Michel Safatle reveals how his biography significantly determined the creation of Casa Pausa . “This my phase of retreat and introspection, were a source of inspiration and raw material for the realization of the project”. The architect from São Paulo, who is celebrating his fourth participation in CASACOR , anticipated how this project translates many of the new concepts of living. Today, times of pandemic, the Casa Pausa proposed by Michel Safatle, at the time, becomes premonitory. https://youtu.be/_wv6FACVbyQ Michel Safatle Born in São Paulo in 1983, graduated from FAAP, he has been working for over 10 years with an office in Vila Nova Conceição, São Paulo. If it weren't for his passion for interior architecture, Michel Safatle, a well-known fashionista, would work in fashion. Just like himself, the professional knows how to “dress” his projects with pieces from the best vintages. A collector and aesthete by nature, the professional stands out for timeless projects with a strong classic touch.
Michel Safatle created a silent space of colors, shapes and textures with strong Zen-Orientalist influences. The monochromatic palette, based on the play of tones from nature, brought black as a base with small touches of Beijing red. With many works of art and pieces signed by renowned designers, the project exhibited, for example, the sculpture “The Angel” (1949/2004) by Tarsila do Amaral, as well as a very rare seven-page letter, written in 1969 by the medium Chico Xavier to his painter friend, designer and translator, four days after her death. Mini-Stories The series created in partnership with Sipá Filmes, in the midst of the pandemic, aims to reveal in a synthetic way, a little more about the concepts and challenges of the professionals of the CASACOR São Paulo 2019 cast when creating their projects. Quick videos, in the format of short documentaries, bring stories that were often not revealed during the 2019 edition of the São Paulo exhibition. “The idea was to edit mini-videos with the architects about the creation process of these wonderful projects that often no one knows about,” says Salvador Cordaro, photographer, artist and founder of Sipá Filmes.[newsletter]
