Through video, journalist
Zizi Carderari , an expert in decoration, design, production and art, reveals the production chain of
essential oils and provides tips on how to use them to bring more comfort and balance to urban homes.
"How can we connect with the forest when we live in urban centers and are geographically far from it?", asks the journalist. And she gives the answer: "One of the best examples of this possible connection even at a distance are essential oils." This is one of the central themes of
“The Forest that Inhabits” , a video created by
FSC Brazil that invites everyone to have a new way of contemplating nature. The idea is to highlight, through a video, the
value chain of forest products, from extraction in native or planted forests to their arrival in our daily lives. Amidst the busy life of big cities, it is possible to have a
touch of the forest in our homes. This presence, felt through the aromas, brings comfort, a sense of welcome, tranquility and balance. This is what journalist Zizi Carderari shows: she was invited by FSC Brazil to tell how it is possible to bring a little of the "
spirit of the forest" into urban homes. “Forest oils are
invisible elements in our daily use, but they decorate the atmosphere of our homes with a sense of nature and
greatly improve our quality of life ,” says Zizi. “After a busy, chaotic day, when you feel tired and weighed down, you can use them to perform a relaxation ritual,” she adds.
FSC and Zizi Carderari present white breu essential oil produced in
FSC certified forests in Uatumã, in the Amazon. Extracted using responsible
forest management techniques , the product promotes income generation and sustainable development in the region. “We seek to break down the boundaries between us and nature. We show that forests are all around us, wherever we are. And, more than anything, they provide us with what is most valuable in life, which is our health and well-being,” says Rodrigo Boro, creator of
“The Forest that Inhabits Me.” Oils have many
therapeutic properties and are recognized as a source of well-being. They can be used in many ways, both on the body and in the environment. Rosin oil has a “very strong forest smell” and is very easy to include in your self-care routine. Check out the tips:
- Apply to the corner of the bathroom shower;
- Use some drops directly in the living room and bedrooms;
- On drier days, add a few drops to a humidifier;
- If you prefer, just an electric air freshener with a few drops will give your home the effect of the forest.
