Believe in a new vibe : this was the theme chosen by ColourFutures, a study of color trends and behavior by AkzoNobel, to present the
color that will rule the next year . The choice of this warm and lively yellow was revealed last Monday (16), at an event promoted by Coral at MASP . “Yellows were very popular between 2007 and 2013, when sunny colors became more prevalent and people were looking for positivity in their homes. Now, once again, the movement is about a desire to start over and embrace the new , for a touch of color that brings joy to the walls and a smile to the face,” says Priscila Perez, Color Activation Manager for Decorative Paints in Brazil at AkzoNobel, manufacturer of Coral. According to Tamara Goes, Marketing Manager for Decorative Paints at AkzoNobel in Brazil, the desire for liberation, a new beginning and embracing the new guided the studies for choosing the color. "A collection of colors was created that fills homes and spaces with creative energy, optimism, self-esteem and imagination," she says. The event, hosted by journalist Cris Bartis, also featured the three 2025
color palettes : the
Fearless Palette, the Artisan Palette and the Ancestral Palette , represented, respectively, by actress Cléo Pires, the artisan group Rendeiras da Aldeia and the
CASACOR cast architect Alexandre Salles. "We invite consumers to
delve into the palettes and
insights behind our 2025 color collection, as well as ideas and inspiration for using the hues," says Tamara.
Check out the 2025 trends and palettes!
Fearless Palette: Get excited to seek new horizons In times of change, people want to leave the past behind and look to the future. To translate this into the home, we created a palette full of bold and joyful colors that promote a surprising and spontaneous space to inspire and take us on an exciting journey outside of our current bubble. The
Fearless Palette points to a place of courage and vibrancy, colors inspired by the feeling of adventure, outside of the comfort zone. When looking for a spontaneous home, use
authentic hues . Tip from Heleen van Gent: “Combining neutrals and pastels creates a space that stands the test of time.”
Handcrafted Palette: Take pride in human creativity and skills We know that
technology has a huge impact on society. The rise of
Artificial Intelligence has proven its power, blurring the line between real and
fake . Now is the time to re-embrace humanity and value the handmade in our homes.
Craftsmanship implies deep wisdom, skill and thoughtful design, conveying a sense of authenticity and humanity. In the
artisanal palette , woody and clay tones are the perfect backdrop for accessories and
furniture made from natural materials such as clay,
wood , rattan and linen. “Artisan colors help you feel connected to the natural materials of the world,” explains Heleen van Gent. Palette colors: Golden Curry, Winter Silence, Century Brown, Milk Tea, Authentic Brown, Manuscript, Quiet Hideaway, Roman Fog, Scottish Lowlands, and Beautiful Heather.
Ancestry Palette: Feel Rooted and Proud of Who You Are In the wake of globalization, there is a growing awareness that we are at risk of losing our unique roots and becoming homogeneous. This palette inspires us to revalue our surroundings and recognize the rich heritage that makes us unique and diverse. The
Ancestral Palette represents a trend rich in varied and personal ancestral influences; a home that proudly celebrates its unique identity and roots. It is inspired by
earthy tones and natural dyes found around the world. “Reflecting the stories of many cultures around the world, ancestral colors are
warm and homely . No matter where you come from,” describes Heleen van Gent. The colors in this palette are: Golden Curry, Gravel River, Carved Stone, Bay Leaf, Date, Natural Lagoon, Dry Leaves, Mysterious Moonlight, Clay Pot and Minas Gerais Dulce de Leche.
